Food was excellent.
1- False Advertising and deceptive trade policies
2- Owner/Manager tried extorting a positive review after promising a 2 night refund for the done issues he admitted were faulty
3- accommodation was in horrible shape and the owner/manager admitted this. See attached Whattsapp excerpts. And see the “view” from the dome.
My review is 1 star because:
1- Deceptive trade practices and false advertising
2- Management/owner (Mr Limame) attempting to extort positive/high review for an already promised refund of two out of five nights due to admitted issues with the domes
3- severe operational dysfunction with the accommodation.

Hello!
Thanks so much for sending me this email. A lot has gone on during this reservation at the Desert Sands Dakhla Lagoon View stay. Please see attached confirmation of this booking to understand which booking it is.
The first problem when we arrived was obvious. The dome we were staying in had pictures on Booking.com of a beautiful front window that you could see through. When we arrived at the dome, the windows were completely fogged. You could not see out of them at all. This was a huge part of the value proposition for a dome. See pictures attached of the Booking.com pictures. And then what we saw is also attached. You cannot see out of the screen at all
The second thing was the door would not lock from the inside. They used a key system from both sides of the lock to open and lock the door from both sides. And it would not turn from the inside. The door would open up by itself from the strong winds. They did fix the door by replacing the lock at 9 PM on the second night after a couple of reminders.
The third thing was the faucet in the bathroom barely had any water coming out of it. They would not fix this.
The fourth thing was the listing says the dome is soundproof.
El sitio es maravilloso. Excelente relación calidad-precio, personal encantador y comida riquísima. Sitio perfecto para hacer kite y no preocuparte de nada mas. Dormir, comer y kite❤️ transfer al aeropuerto incluido, el personal te ayuda con todo pero especial mención a Stefan que fue un amor!
Quizá más variedad en las comidas, estaban todas muy buenas pero se hacía algo repetitivo.
De locatie, de gezamenlijke ruimte en het personeel.
Voor toilet en douche moest je een stukje door het zand.

Limam le patron, a des problèmes avec la Police et appelle la Gendarmerie Royale lorsque vous demandez une nuit supplémentaire.
Maltraitance animale de surcroit.
Lieu qui ne sera pas référencé très longtemps mais à fuir dans l'intervalle.
Reservamos una cúpula y, aunque finalmente no pudimos alojarnos en ella porque todavía necesitaba algunos arreglos para ajustarse a lo anunciado y la otra estaba en construcción, el anfitrión nos ofreció un bungalow como alternativa. El bungalow era muy bonito, estaba bien cuidado y tenía muy buena pinta. La ducha era amplia, disponía de caja de seguridad y en general parecía un alojamiento cómodo y agradable. También quiero destacar la amabilidad del anfitrión, que fue muy atento en todo momento e intentó facilitarnos las cosas al máximo.
La principal decepción fue no poder disfrutar del alojamiento que habíamos reservado originalmente. Al tratarse de un bungalow con un precio inferior al de la cúpula, decidimos cancelar la reserva. Aun así, el anfitrión gestionó la situación de forma muy correcta, ofreciéndonos diferentes alternativas e incluso transporte gratuito hasta otro alojamiento. Finalmente no nos alojamos allí y regresamos al lugar donde nos estábamos hospedando.
We had a wonderful 7-night stay at Desert Sands in Dakhla. The hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere, comfortable accommodations, and stunning views that make it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the region.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any request. Their hospitality made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable throughout our stay.
We also enjoyed the hotel’s location, which provided easy access to the lagoon and the many activities Dakhla has to offer. The food was tasty, with a good variety of options available for breakfast.
Overall, our week at Desert Sands exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dakhla and would be delighted to return in the future. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable!
No warm water in the shower
Ontbijt, lunch en diner was helemaal prima, bijna elke dag wat anders qua eten. De ruimte waar dit geserveerd werd was helemaal prima en leuk/mooi aangekleed met de juist vibe.
Locatie erg rustig, dus vertier moet je bij je eigen vrienden zoeken.
Geen overdreven luxe, maar wel goed. Prijs/kwaliteit echt prima.
Kleinere kamers hebben geen toilet en badkamer; geen issue maar je krijgt er meer een camping gevoel van omdat je naar een apart sanitair gebouwtje moet voor toilet en douche. Douche en toilet gebouw ziet er wat oud uit, maar zand en zeelucht zorgt er voor dat alles snel achteruit gaat. Kamers hebben niet zulke beste sloten in de deuren waardoor deze gaat klapperen door de harde wind. (even een sok of iets anders er tussen voorkomt wel dat je de hele nacht wakker gehouden wordt.) Bij ± 25 knopen+ wel veel suiswind in je kamertje, maar na een lange kitesessie val je heus wel in slaap.
Superverblijf, toplocatie aan de kitespot. Vriendelijk personeel en erg goed eten. Kite storage lockers voor elk appartement. Top geregeld.
Personeel is erg vriendelijk en als je voor het kiten komt kun je meteen de lagoon op.
De Doom is ruim maar wel erg luidruchtig. Het waait 's nachts ook hard.
Je recommande cet établissement sans hésitation.
Le personnel est adorable, toujours accueillant et aux petits soins. La nourriture est incroyable, vraiment un régal.
Concernant le Wi-Fi, pour Dakhla c’est franchement très correct et cela fonctionne vraiment bien, sans problème particulier.
Le rapport qualité-prix est tout simplement imbattable. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !
Si je devais mentionner un seul point à améliorer, ce serait peut-être une aire de décollage un peu plus grande pour les kites. Mis à part ça, tout est parfait. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

Sol caillouteux, je me suis méchamment abîmé les pieds 2 fois en portant mon kite de l'hôtel à la plage, c'est vraiment fâcheux
We loved the people, they were all hospitable and kind, the food was really amazing, the chef was very good, we ate the best foods of our lives. We had a lot of fun, it was the best kite holiday ever!
