What's not to like about 42 Lighthouse Street. We were so well looked after by Prasad, he's an absolute credit to the company. A beautiful property, in the heart of the Fort, yet lovely and quiet. Managed by the same company as Fort Bazaar, we were able to take breakfast there each day and use their beautiful pool. If you want the facilities of a lovely hotel, and the exclusivity of a small property, choose 42 Lighthouse Street.

Fantastic villa in the perfect location for exploring Galle Fort. Excellent service with the major benefit of being able to use facilities at Fort Bazaar hotel.
Everything was absolutely perfect. Thank you Mr. Thushara (I hope I spilled it correctly) you made our stay so comfortable and pleasant. Best location in town. Breakfast was excellent.

Breakfast was wonderful and tasty.
Small niggle - it would have been good to have a power point in the bathroom for the hair dryer.
The place is a little gem in Galle! If you want to escape the crowds but still be in the city centre this is the place! The breakfast at Fort Bazar was truly exceptional. The only thing we regret is not staying longer. We are coming back for sure!

The house was beautiful. Prasad, our concierge, was super helpful. All staff at their sister hotel were friendly too. We had full use of their restaurant and facilities.
Fantastic location, lovely ambiance. The villa has lovely reception rooms, if you're needing somewhere nice and relaxing to sit. Beautifully restored and decorated. The rooms are quirky but spacious with very good bathrooms. The fact that you can use the facilities at the Fort Bazaar hotel just round the corner is a huge plus - it lifts the offering from a nice guesthouse to more like a wonderful boutique hotel.
Communications were very good at booking and with the many questions I asked ( UK-style plugs, hairdryer in room.
As is so often the case, and a pet annoyance to me, only one chair in a room for 2 people!
The most amazing interior design of a hotel - we were told it was the home of a Dutch Merchant and his wife. The rooms and main foyer are so lovely and the staff were absolutely brilliant. Use of the sister hotel facilities (Fort Bazaar) was incredible - the pool is beyond gorgeous!
Bien ubicado, en la zona mas bonita de Galle.
El personal es encantador, ninguna queja por este motivo.
Considero que no tiene la categoría de 5*, y que la web es muy engañosa, por estos motivos:
1/ Es una casa colonial, que necesita mantenimiento urgente (paredes deterioradas, y evidente falta de limpieza).
2/ No hay recepción 24h. El personal (encantador) termina a las 20,00h y te dan la llave de la puerta, para que abras tu.
3/ No hay cocina. El desayuno (y la piscina) están en otro Hotel, del mismo grupo, en una calle paralela.
En este alojamiento, ofrecen un desayuno sencillo, sin platos cocinados, nada que ver con el del otro Hotel.
4/ No hay TV en todas las habitaciones
5/ La WIFI funciona fatal, no llegaba ni a las habitaciones de abajo (ocupada por nuestros amigos)
Resumiendo, ni por servicios, limpieza, ni expectativas cumplidas, es un alojamiento de 5*.

A great experience to stay in a house rather than a hotel. I loved having breakfast in the house rather than walking over to Fort Bazaar. Thank you Prasad for taking such great care of us.
