Poor food, no bar, ants in the room
Pros:

Not as nice as advertised. Poor food quality, no alcohol service (the ”amazing wine tasting” I saw someone post about was clearly fake, as they don’t have a license). There is only one restaurant and it is filled with flies, and the food isn’t very good.

The only okay thing was the actual room. Newly renovated and pretty clean. But there were some ants and spiders (no bedbugs). However the bed only had a sheet, no duvet, so it was very uncomfortable to sleep in. I’m grateful we were only staying for one night

There is literally nothing to do at this hotel, and nothing to do in the area except safari, so all guests are crammed by the pool, so make sure to grab a seat early.

Pros:

The first nights dinner was horrible cos we ordered the wrong stuff & lunch & breafsdt sandwiches were not so good. So the next day for breakfast we ordered Sri Lankan milk rice, string hoppers & Pol Rotti., chicken & fish curry, potato & dhal curry. It was absolutely super, excellent. The fruit was so good. It was to die for. The papaya especially.

Pros:

A last minute booking was not an issue. Friendly reception and well organised. Lovely well appointed room. Offered for us to return (after checking out) for a swim and a shower after our safari tour !
