The hotel staff specially the lates coloured lady who was obnoxious, rude and bloody lazy.
I have stayed round the world and in many differnt hotels. Very very good ones. But not once I have paid 35€ for asking for a extra hour to check out.
When asked the lady was adamant I come straight away to make the payment. I said can I come later when I go down for the dinner. A day before. She said no the receptionist is leaving. I said to her you can add it to my final bill. I will pay it during checkout. She said no it has to be done now. And then hung up on me. I was feeding my youngest. So I had to go down and after a wait of 10mins. The lady came at this point I was fuming but I did not make a scene. I did complain to booking.com about it. The money is not an issue. But the way she spoke and pushing me was really over the top. I haven't experienced any thing like this before. And when I came back from my walk she was still there in the receiption till 21.30 when she said she was going to leave at 1800hrs. What a b....
Also if you have kids dont stay over here as although we were at the back of the hotel. The noise of the weekend music was very very very loud. Into the late hours. The kids could not sleep and next morning we were like zombies at the breakfast table.
The breakfast was good by the resturant downstairs was good including the staff were lovely. It's only this one lady who ruined my Amsterdam trip.

Bonita estancia!
Pros:

La habitación es perfecta aunque las escaleras muy inclinadas y con niños es complicado.. pero por lo demás todo de 10! Por cierto el desayuno perfecto 🤩

Cons:

Las escaleras de la entrada con las maletas no es cómodo y ojo que con el coche solo se puede entrar de 06:00 a 12:00 sino multan.. así que gran equipaje no es buena idea 😉

L'hôtel MONUMENT dispose d'une chambre confortable et le bâtiment est moderne.

Cons:

Le format du petit déjeuner car ce n'était pas un buffet.
L'hôtel n'est pas accessible en voiture.

Pros:

Easy to access, friendly staff, spacious family room. Glutenfree breakfast provided.

Cons:

Lots of stairs, a lot of noise from the bars outside. Bathroom was divided into a showerroom and a seperate toilet, with washstand on the other side of the room. Not so practical.

Mooie lokatie, maar teleurstellende en te dure kamer.

De kamer: zeer slechte airconditioning, ondanks de naam ‘de luxe suite’ geen zitje, geen minikoelkast en zelfs geen tissues. Slechte prijs kwaliteit verhouding.
