Very clean prime location
Nil
The room was nice and big. The bed was comfy.
Unfortunately the rooms were not sound proof and someone in the room next to us coughed all night and we got woken from slamming doors all hours of the night and morning. The shower leaked which bathroom flooded, due to the flooring of the shower. Terrible. Didnt have enough towels to soak up the water plus use to dry ourselves. Room 205 needs work!
Rooms are huge, beds are super comfortable, facilities are awesome, modern and clean. Location is wonderful, close to city bars, supermarket, and Waikato stadium. Good parking under the building with high clearance for taller vehicles. Upon arrival this place shaped up as perfect for us….but I won’t stay again.
We had room 8. Never again! The walls are paper thin and all night we heard people coming and going through the noisy main door, stomping up the wooden staircase, heard everything the people next door were saying…and doing!!!! In the end I went to BP (next door) and bought earplugs but not even those prevented me being woken by the noise of the neighbours romantic moments! Other than a very terrible sleep due to noise from other rooms, it is an awesome place. If I had to stay again I’d stipulate room 11-16, but one with no internal adjoining door to the next apartment because that door did not help the noise.
Location. Cleanliness. Beds are not soggy. Staff are great.
Toilet amenities are lacking. Good thing we brought some on our own.
Rooms are very spacious.
One key card. When one of us would be upstairs we'd need to come downstairs to let the other inside
Location was good.
No milk, no tissues, towels were thin and old, TV channels terrible to navigate with no TV1. Very fustrating
I liked the size of the unit, the fact that it had an oven, a hob and a fridge - and that all of those were clean. It had good parking and easy card access. My unit was cleaned and cleared every day and my bed was changed during the week. The supermarket was across the road and a petrol station next door.
I had to go to a different motel to get the key which I was okay with. Customer service with a smile and friendly greeting after a 4.5 hour drive would have been appreciated. Upon arrival there were hairs in the bathroom sink - I didn't like that! I took food to cook with me but quickly discovered that yes, there were knives and forks and pots and a pan but there were no actual cooking utensils. I had to go to Briscoes to buy a peeler, tongs, a sharp knife and a small dish for the oven. Odd.
Lovely spacious room and spacious bathroom. The biggest bed ever. Newish building so it was modern and clean with a full kitchen containing everything I needed there. Spacious underground parking which was within the building (downstairs) from the accommodation and with key card access so felt reasonably safe for a woman travelling alone like myself. I regularly overnight in Hamilton and this is by far one of the nicest properties on offer in the city.
Couldn't get the heating working so an extra blanket would have been good. There was a towel rail in the bathroom which looked to be heated but I could not see how to switch on. Could not get the TV working with either of the two remote controls provided but I really didn't need that for one night as I was out in the evening, however an instruction manual would have been beneficial. NOTE: these things did not effect my overall view of my stay at property though.
The location is great, parking is fantastic. I have stayed here before and it will always be my first choice for work for Hamilton.
The check in process is a pain - having to check in at another motel then drive back here, although its only a few minutes away.
Would be really handy to have a couch. The room is massive so plenty of room for one. Seating options are still good though with barstools and a small dining table.
Very disappointed with this motel. Bed was fine, but other than that everything else was poorly cleaned. Surfaces were sticky and hadn’t been wiped or cleaned, mould in the grout of the floor tiles, mold all around the bottom of the shower tracks, black mould in the grout of the shower tiles, strands of hair in the bathroom sink, soap scum in the vanity and broken pieces of glass under the vanity - it felt as it hasn’t had a good proper clean in months and didn’t smell the best either. The bed was fine, but that was the only positive. When I spoke with front desk on checking out, they were apologetic and promised to follow it up on the first working day and I haven’t heard anything. Therefore, I believe it was not worth $165 for one person for one night when it’s that dirty which made me feel uncomfortable.
Weirldy large room (which was nice), very clean overall, comfortable beds, easy parking.
There were no on-site staff (the staff we dealt with at another hotel to check in were very nice and gave us a bottle of complimentary milk). Some of the valances were sagging, and the lightswitch had some stripped/broken screws. We feel like the mini split wasn't super effective at cooling.
