The room
The staff, from the receptionist and the manager Effue, was super friendly and accommodating.
It’s serene, peaceful and all amenities are close to each other which is important if you have young kids. The staff were amazing
The menu needs improvement
Loved the staff, quiet and calm premises. Movie night was a great touch and the greenery and garden area is perfect for a book. No beach access, but the pool is lovely and spacious. Restaurant has some bomb food too. We had a spa day was heaven sent.
The toilets in our room had very low pressure when flashing. It was awkward and wasteful trying to flash the loo 3+ times. The spa (massage) could use improvement or better training, it didn't feel like a professional experience.

The property was absolutely beautiful!! The food was great as well! The staff were super welcoming and accommodating!
The only issue I had was my room never really got cool despite the air conditioner blowing. This made my nights sleep a little uncomfortable. I love the hotel so much I will just bring a fan the next time I visit =)

What do I liked about Saffron boutique Hotel is it’s intimate surroundings. Small bungalows with thatched roofs surround the main compound overlooking the swimming pool and its beautiful lush Gardens. Saffron has this classic old Africa vibe unlike the big institutionalized corporate hotels when you’re at Saffron you know you’re someplace special. It’s a true experience not to be missed and a great value for money and I look forward to their delicious breakfast in the morning starting with the perfectly prepared cappuccino.
There are always some drawbacks at every property you stay at as music is very particular to each individual. I did not care for the repetitive pop music played in the restaurant, particularly in the morning. I think it’s time you switched up your playlist being in such a unique hotel, I think your music reflect the surrounding atmosphere.
Beautifully and thoughtful arrangement designed for one’s comfort within the hotel, flexibility on meal plans(they prepared a Swahili themed breakfast for us when we requested), friendly and welcoming staff. Location is central enough to access malls and restaurants.
Proximity to the ocean-it’s a distance and no access to the ocean or beach contrary to what is on the hotel’s description.
