Die Lage ist top.
Schöne moderne Zimmer.

Cons:

Unser Aufenthalt war leider in mehrfacher Hinsicht enttäuschend. Beim Abendessen sowie danach war unsere Bedienung sehr unmotiviert, unfreundlich und wirkte wenig kompetent. Auf unsere Nachfrage nach einer Weinempfehlung zu unserem Menü erhielten wir lediglich die Antwort, dass viele Weine vorhanden seien und wir selbst auswählen sollten. Der Wein, für den wir uns anschliessend entschieden haben, war dann nicht einmal verfügbar – ein weiterer Beleg für die mangelnde Fachkenntnis.
Zusätzlich fragte eine Person aus unserer Gruppe nach einem speziellen Getränk. Die Bedienung meinte, sie werde nachfragen, da sie das Getränk nicht kannte. Nachdem wir rund 30 Minuten nichts mehr gehört hatten, fragten wir erneut nach. Die Antwort war lediglich, dass es das Getränk nicht gebe – verbunden mit der Bemerkung, deshalb sei sie auch nicht mehr zurückgekommen. Ein solches Verhalten gegenüber Gästen ist schlicht inakzeptabel. Geht man so mit Kunden um?
An diesem Abend gab es zudem Live-Musik. Leider befand sich unser Zimmer direkt oberhalb der Band, wodurch es sehr laut war und an Erholung kaum zu denken war. Besonders enttäuschend ist, dass wir im Vorfeld nicht darüber informiert wurden, dass ein solcher Anlass mit erhöhter Lautstärke stattfindet – das wäre das Mindeste gewesen.
Erst nach unserer Nachfrage konnten wir das Zimmer wechseln.
Auch beim Frühstück sowie bei der Abreise kam kaum ein Wort vom Personal, was den ohnehin negativen Gesamteindruck zusätzlich verstärkte.
Fazit: Der Service ist ungenügend. Freundlichkeit, Professionalität und grundlegende Servicebereitschaft sollten hier dringend überarbeitet werden.

Die Lage direkt am Bahnhof und gegenüber dem Volksgarten ist fantastisch, auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in unmittelbarer Umgebung.
Das Hotel offerierte diverse Extras (Willkommensdrink im Restaurant, 1L Mineralwasser im Zimmer, Gästekarte für den ÖV im ganzen Kanton, und abends (nach 22h) warme Getränke in Selbstbedienung).
Reichhaltiges Frühstück in hellem Saal und ein modernes Badezimmer mit toller Dusche. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Pros:

Freundliches Personal, die grossen Zimmer sind sehr sauber und es hat ein gutes Restaurant, schweizerische Küche. Frühstück war ok, leider aber nur trockenes Aufback-Brot. Käseauswahl und Kaffee sehr gut.

Pros:

My request for a late night check-in was accepted without issue. While there was a slight delay with the entrance code, the support team provided a fast response over the phone and even offered a room upgrade as compensation, which was a lovely touch. It was also great to have tea and coffee available for guests throughout the night.

Cons:

For future guests, I'd suggest posting contact details near the door lock to make reaching support even easier in similar situations. Also, the breakfast could be enhanced with a wider variety of vegetables and pastries.
