Barre Hotel

Passing through to another destination. Nice location.

I was surprised to see the difference between the picture of the building, the facility and the reality. It is so nice on internet, spacious. While in the reality, there is no space: the room was small, the corridor, the lobby is just a corridor, the restaurant was the worse.
The room was very clean though.
It was very noisy because there is a construction going on right next to the building.

My stay here was pretty good. The area surrounding the hotel is not the best looking but it turned out alright. The rooms are actually pretty decent. I saw a couple small roaches but I did have dinner in the room so there's that. There is no hot water, which was my biggest issue. There's also a lot of noise from seemingly long-term residents. The staff were nice and very accommodating with late checkout. If not for the lack of hot water, i would stay here again.

In a popular area and you hear noise throughout the night until very late.

Very nice service, great flexibility in terms of extending your stay or earlier accommodation. Limited comfort due to noise (permanent residents of the building), power or internet outages. Good for African-Asian conditions.

It’s a very nice and safe space near Eastleigh about 20 minutes away on bike or car.

Het personeel is traag en weinig communicatief. De kamer is saai, het bed lag goed. Er is geen airco. Het raam kon wel open, van buiten kwam veel lawaai. De badkamer rook erg muf, een vieze lucht. Het duurde vreselijk lang voordat ons ontbijt geserveerd werd terwijl we de enige gasten waren en gewoon een omelet hadden besteld. Geen aanrader dit hotel

Clean and confirtable bed but the shower geyser wasnt heating the water.

This is my second stay at the Barre in 3 weeks and it's a pleasure to be a guest there,its lovely hotel great atmosphere and the most friendliest staff you will meet, the lovely Aisha is so warm and welcoming an amazing host,thank you, and the kitchen staff are just awesome and sociable and excellent food.
I actually left a hotel I'd paid for because the service was dreadful and poor safety and luckily managed to book a room at the Barre, I was so happy I love this place and it has a friendly community and very safe, I really do recommend this hotel if your in Nairobi and it's good value too, thank you everyone there and a big thanks to Aisha your the best host by far,all the best guys ...

I have to say my stay at the Barre Hotel was just perfect for my first visit to Kenya, it was clean,tidy and very friendly staff. Aisha was just amazing nothing was too much trouble a lovely breakfast that saw you through the day and great food all round, I can't fault this place at all a great budget hotel and I highly recommend it, once again thank you Aisha you're wonderful...
