Séjour relaxant dans un cadre d'exception
Pros:

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Hana Lodge. L'établissement se situe dans un superbe domaine et offre de nombreuses possibilités d'activités : piscine, jacuzzi, sauna, terrain de tennis, salle de sport, billard. La chambre était superbe, bien aménagée, bien insonorisée et suffisamment spacieuse pour accueillir deux adultes et une enfant de deux ans. Les lits étaient confortables. Le personnel était extrêmement attentionné, ce que nous avons particulièrement apprécié. La situation géographique du lieu est idéal : proche du centre de Rotorua, mais suffisamment éloigné pour profiter d'un cadre calme et privatif.

Cons:

Le buffet proposé au petit-déjeuner pourrait être un peu plus fourni ; les viennoiseries étaient un peu fades.
Le service de chambre gagnerait à être légèrement amélioré : les poubelles n'étaient pas toujours vidées et le frigo n'était pas réapprovisionné à chaque passage. Il est arrivé que la salle de bains ne soit pas nettoyée, ce qui n'est pas dramatique en soi, mais un peu regrettable compte tenu du prix de la nuitée.

A beautifully designed retreat—perfect for families
Pros:

We had a fantastic stay at Hana Lodge. The property is incredibly family-friendly, with plenty to keep kids entertained—tennis courts, small animals, and great outdoor space. The hot tub and sauna were a real highlight for relaxing after a day out.

The lodge itself is stunning, with a strong sense of design and artistic detail throughout. The grounds are peaceful and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to simply stay on-site and unwind. The food was excellent as well—highly recommend dining in.

A special mention to the bathroom, which was easily one of the best we’ve experienced in New Zealand—spacious, well-designed, and very comfortable.

Overall, Hana Lodge is a place you can truly slow down and enjoy. We would definitely return.

Helpful friendly staff. Nothing was an issue. Beautiful setting. Lovely breakfasts served. Dinner was amazing.

Cons:

No shelves for clothing. Hot tub lid difficult to open for use. Need a proper coffee machine. Would be nice to have pasties and coffee for afternoon tea.

Great place to stay when you want to do the thermal experience in Rotorua with a bit more comfort
Pros:

Cooked breakfast was part of the booking and it is also had a great simple ( but enough ) buffet as well, rooms very comfy, bathrooms great size, ours with floor heating ( awesome ) excellent wi-fi and one night we stayed at the hotel to try their restaurant for dinner which was tasty, a little pricey, but I can understand why as they do not get the volume coming through the restaurant , to keep everything fresh they probably have an expensive grocery bill
We used the spa and sauna as well and had a game on their billiards table, so all in a great little stay for us, we should have booked a few extra days but needed to go to Hamilton

Cons:

I think for a small boutique hotel about 10-15 min out from Rotorua town center they are doing pretty good, and top of my head I can't think of anything they can do better, we enjoyed our stay and had no issues or complaints

Pros:

House spotless, Bathrooms were new and well appointed and the beds were clean and comfortable.
Breakfast enjoyable and staff lovely

Cons:

The house was dated and although comfortable did not reflect good value for money. The garden adjacent was overgrown, dead plants in the window boxes, bins sitting out the front. Access from the main lodge was via a deserted industrial property. Dishwasher didn’t work and we were asked to keep the blinds/windows closed due to insects.

Lived up to expectations. Lovely stay.
Pros:

Beautiful grounds, lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. Our hotel manager, Sandeep Kaur, was extremely attentive to our needs and made sure our stay was a positive experience. First class hospitality and very comfortable bed.

Cons:

Ontbijt was niet goed georganiseerd. Kennelijk 1 persoon in de keuken en 1 in de bediening en zij konden het niet aan. Duurde allemaal eindeloos. En buffet werd slecht aangevuld.

Outstanding
Pros:

One of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Feels like a fairytale, it’s unbelievably well kept, the staff was so friendly and helpful (thanks Rajiv!), we would have stayed longer if we could have.
Some alpacas came to greet us on the way in, made it even more special.
