Reception was very friendly and made us feel very welcome, they gave us snacks the next day while we were out exploring the scultures and bamboo forest. With the bonus of the Whittakers chocolates and the free drinks in the fridge and snacks. So peaceful and beautiful. Spas were amazing together with the sauna. It was a lovely mother and daughter getaway.
I would definitely return again.
There is nothing to complain about at all. But what would make it even better be having the outdoor pool slightly heated and having a room service option that provided breakfast in bed option and other available items to purchase in the evening.
The outside grounds are wonderful with fun sculptures and the building itself is very impressive. The pool area is good, with a sauna and hot tubs. Our room was large, with a newly renovated bathroom. The bed was very comfortable.
The service offering lets this place down. It's just not at the level the price would suggest. In particular, the dinner was very average (ie local pub food), and yet very expensive.
We liked everything. The room was beautiful, the gardens were completely wonderful, the staff were professional, friendly, helpful and charming.

I loved the location, the scenery, the cleanliness, the comfort and the whole experience. I LOVED it and I wish I could go there soon again.

What a beautiful spot. Lovely elegant room with a lovely bathroom - I enjoyed the lovely deep bath after a long day driving. The bed was very comfortable and the sofa was too actually. The staff were really friendly and just lovely. It was lovely to be given a little snack parcel for my drive as I left. Everything very thoughtfully done. Definitely worth the short drive out of Rotorua to stay here!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hana Lodge. The property is beautiful and the surroundings are amazing. We really enjoyed walking around the grounds, especially the bamboo forest and all the statues around the property.
The sauna, pool and spa were great, and our room was exceptional. We loved the interior and all the little details. The chocolates and snacks in the room and at reception were such a thoughtful touch and made the stay feel even more special.

It was very clean and comfortable. However, most importantly the staff was delightful and went out of their way to make sure our experience was wonderful. Truly a gem of a place to stay.
It was peaceful and quiet just what we needed and good quality bedding and bathroom supplies.

Staff was great, room size and service were world class. The vibes are also pretty nice and the garden is beautiful.
The kitchen was kind of slow and food prices at the restaurant are not justified for the kitchens speed and quality of food.
I loved the spa and sauna the breakfast included in the pack was also really yummy and the location was a beautiful spot around all the trees
Hana Lodge was set in a beautiful location, quiet and luxurious. Above all though, the staff were incredible. They manage to balance professionalism with friendliness and are a real asset to Hana Lodge.
The grounds are lovely, the spa and sauna well kept and what we needed after a long day of driving.

Gorgeous house, amazing service
All was perfect.
Amazing, eccentric and charming property. Bed was most comfortable of our whole three week NZ trip. Just brilliant. Luxurious bathroom with excellent heating. Wonderful friendly staff. Absolutely wonderful. Short 15 minute drive into central Rotorua. Plenty of parking. Loved the quirky design of the building.
Nothing. Only wished we could have stayed longer.
