The bungalow was really cosy and had everything you would need. We only stayed for one night but would have loved to stay for more and would go back here again. It was local and in walking distance to the town which was convenient and walkable with a pushchair.
It was easily accessible with private parking and very quiet.
Only one thing I would change and that would be the mattress in the smaller room. The larger room bed was made up by 2 singles but you wouldnt have known. They were really really comfortable however the spare room was used by someone very slim and they had back ache from the mattress.
Always clean and comfortable.Kitchens always well maintained as are bathrooms.
Wonky kitchen bin.
Everything
Nothing
Room good and kitchen, bathroom facilities good. Comfy bed.
The room had no extra blanket as it was cold in evening when we returned.
Parking was a nightmare! Big white van kept blocking the rear to park, selfish parking for others as there was space, but how they parked i couldn't get in.
Bathroom was a bit dirty, especially the silver metal dado rail.
Our door lock was awkward to lock and unlock but we fiddled about with it and it worked.
Everything is modern, the kitchen is lovely and an added bonus as we were going to stay elsewhere but the fact there was a kitchen and parking available changed our mind. Within walking distance into town.
I know people will be put off by a shared bathroom, however there are 2 shower/toilet rooms and they are very modern.
We stayed in room 4 which faced onto the main road, there was a fan provided as it would be difficult to sleep if the window was left open all night.
The stairs are steep to the upper rooms so bear this in mind. I think only rooms 1 and 2 are on the ground floor.
Overall we were happy and the price was good for the room size and facilities offered.
My only criticism would be that although Billy’s Place is mostly clean I noticed that doors and skirting boards aren’t
Check in was very simple, although I didn't meet an owner or manager. The room was large, with a large TV. The property had two shared bathrooms which were both clean and looked to have been recently decorated. The kitchen area was available with cooking facilities, fridge and washing machine. The location isn't too far from the centre of Boston and there is a huge Asda just down the road too.
Parking is a little tight. There is a concreted area behind the property, but, one of the neighbours had a large, long wheel base Transit that he was parking out there. That gave very few places where you could park that you wouldn't be blocking him in, or getting blocked in yourself. Parking slots were not marked so a little unclear exactly where you could park.
The key code didn't work initially. The ad mentioned free breakfast, which wasn't in fact available. The bedroom is next to the road and it is very noisy, even with ear plugs in.
Not provided.
Communal washing and toilet rooms not kept clean and dry by other guests.
Ground floor at a busy crossroads. Lots of street noise, so had to close the windows, despite it being warm. The blinds did not totally cover the windows so people passing by could see into the room if they wanted to. Parking was not good, I had to park on the street. The shared bathrooms were wet from the previous day. I was up and out early. The sink was behind the toilet so to clean your teeth you had to lean over or kneel on the loo itself.
The room itself was clean and the bed was fit for purpose. The other patrons were not at all respectful, making noise at 4am.
But, it was cheap and served a purpose as I was only there from 10pm - 7am.
.
Very comfortable and clean, would recommend
Noisy children in the room next door, but hey, they're just being kids so no big deal
Loved the place clean tidy everything we needed.
Very comy bed
The stairs so steep my missis struggled with the stairs due to her disability and the door to our room was right on the stairs which proved hard for her and slightly dangerous at times also the fact toilets and showers are all on the ground floor not ideal because of our toilet needs
Also the walls slightly thin so can hear people in the other rooms plus them going up and down for the toilet and the doors banging this sounds bad review but it's not meant to it's asking me about what my stay was like if I was on my own it's ideal for me
Safe area for my little boy to run around at the rear of the building...the bed was really comfortable... kitchen is lovely
I enjoyed my stays
