Lovely Boutique Hotel in Kakopetria. Only 400m from Kakopetria Square and old Kakopetria. The hotel is new and rooms are big and most important clean. They offer all the amenities a traveler may want and a big plus is the Netflix option in the room tv connected with a hotel account. The free bottle of water, wine and fruits is a nice gesture from the Hotel. Breakfast was limited and could be better for the room price we payed. Overall a lovely stay and definitely we will return.
My husband and I stayed at the Thymises Boutique Hotel for four nights last October and they were the best nights of our 15 day trip to Cyprus. (Shame on me for taking so long to write this review.) We travel a lot, independently, not on tours, and we are so happy to add Thymises to our own personal short list of the best hotels in the world. It simply ticked all the boxes.
The website photos are exactly right - Serene, comfortable furnishings, not only in the room and on the balcony, but in the hallways as well. There's an on-site restaurant with very good food for breakfast and dinner. The only night we had a bad meal was the night the restaurant was closed.
The hotel has onsite parking under the hotel and it is walking distance to the foot path that leads up to Old Kakopetria. They are close to many of the Painted Churches and other destinations in the Troodos as well as close enough to Nocosia for a day-trip.
But the best part was the owners. I think they said there are three owners. We only met two, a father and son. Both were amazing... Friendly, charming, extremely service oriented, and professional at the same time. I've had service this good before, but not often, and never at this price!
If you are a couple or solo traveler faced with the daunting task of selecting accommodations from half way around the world, don't hesitate to book a room at the Thymises Boutique Hotel.
The hotel is located in a beautiful small town on the mountains of Cyprus.
It is a great location to visit the Trodus area.
The hotel is a boutique hotel beautiful and modern give you a place to relax
The rooms are big comfortable and modern have everything you need for a great stay.
Breakfast is really superb as if you are coming to a gastronomic restaurant.
Above all the service is outstanding.
We will come again.
Lovely hotel, great staff made for a very relaxing stay. Highly recommended.
Great recently redone hotel with a massive flaw: no soundproofing. You’ll hear your neighbour tv. If a child is screaming, you’ll hear it through the hallway and then your door. It’s just not been well designed unfortunately, and I can imagine how it is when full. It’s a bummer because otherwise, the hotel looks great, the staff is good, breakfast is quite nice.
We stayed here for 2 nights in the Junior Suite with Balcony. The room was nice, clean and decent size. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel has a very peaceful, relaxing and quaint ambiance. It is just a few minutes walk to town.
The restaurant is nice and pleasant. You could eat indoors or on the patio/terrace. For breakfast, they had a decent selection in the buffet. We also had dinner one night, which I had to say was absolutely amazing.
We had a fantastic night's stay at this wonderful modern hotel. Our room was extremely clean with a very comfortable bed and great quality bedding. The free minibar was a wonderful touch. The shower in the bathroom was lovely and the towels were thick and fluffy. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We had dinner in their restaurant and were so glad we did. The sharing plates of Cypriot food had wonderful flavours and was presented in a stylish way. Everything about this hotel was classy at a very reasonable price. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others.
A beautiful property in an equally beautiful location. Chic modern room, very comfortable bed. Excellent tech. Perfect for winding down. The patio was lovely to relax in with comfortable chairs and a wonderful garden. The staff were incredible, kind and very attentive. Everything about this stay exceeded our expectations.

Hotel veramente eccellente, sotto tutti i punti di vista.
We loved our stay at Thymises! First, it smelled beautiful and we could smell the aromatherapy from the street. We were welcomed with homemade cake made by the owner. Checkin was smooth and welcoming. The hotel overall was quiet, small and intimate. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated.
The hotel had onsite, underground parking. It was just a few blocks from the famous mill. We had a friend over to the patio for evening drinks and it was so pleasant and comfortable. We had a great sleep in an amazing bed and sheets. The breakfast buffet was delicious the next morning and we had a great conversation with the owner.
We would definitely stay here again!

A boutique hotel in the center of the village is run by a kind family. The rooms, the atmosphere and the service were excellent. We felt comfortable and received an answer to every request. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights from which we went out for a walk in the area. The last evening we had dinner at the hotel and it was a good and tasty experience. Recommended!
We highly recommend Thymises boutique hotel.
From the moment we entered the hotel we were confronted with a friendly welcome from the staff. The design and interiors are amazing and unexpected. Attention to detail is so apparent. It has a very soft calming feel, modern with hints on mikonos.
Our room was luxurious and had a balcony where we could hear nothing except for the birds singing in the trees. The bed was sumptuous and very comfortable.
The hotel is softly scented with a calming relaxing scent.
Can’t wait to book again.
We stayed two nights in the Thymises Boutique hotel which has been open less than one year. As there are so few reviews to date on TA I’ll offer a more detailed critique.
The hotel interior is truly striking, a diamond. Beautiful, modern, minimalist design, walls, ceilings interior decor shades of white, beige and cream. Quality furnishings emphasising the overall significant financial investment which must have been made and is fairly reflected in the far from cheap but not unreasonable room rate.
There were many other positives. We had a large ‘executive’ bedroom with a long balcony. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, quiet, light and airy, with good aircon. The ‘open plan’ bath and wash basin area, was similarly stylish. The toilet and shower room were behind a dividing door. Free bottled water, wine and apples were provided on the first night.
Unfortunately the diamond is flawed because some of the style sacrificed functionality. There was a seriously dangerous trip hazard with an unmarked step between the bath area to the bedroom. It’s an accident waiting to happen especially in the dark in an unfamiliar room. We’re not fans of ‘open plan’ wash basin/bath areas however appealing the design, it’s not hygienic (no facility to wash one’s hands immediately after using the toilet) or practical and offers no privacy. On a simple level there is nowhere to dry towels necessitating an environmentally unfriendly daily change.
The breakfast cold buffet plus hot dishes and a la carte dinner were good with an imaginative, less predictable choice than most Cypriot cuisine. However, service at dinner was clueless - both my wife’s dishes were served together, the server then had to be prompted after a long wait to bring my starter and main course brought together. We virtually ate at separate times. When we had both finished, in an empty restaurant, we waited 15 minutes and then had to ask the server to clear our plates. She then gave us the bill before we asked for a dessert. Basic training needed!
In complete contrast, the receptionist and owner personally were exceptionally helpful recommending local sights, particularly in arranging the opening of the (absolutely must see) local UNESCO painted church. The WiFi is strong, TV has Netflix etc and parking was free.
The hotel is centrally located in the pretty village a 5 minute walk from the well worth visiting narrow cobbled streets of the old village, pleasant riverside stroll, restaurants (we recommend Ayi Yorkis), cafes and shops. The downside is that the urban location inevitably means views from our room balcony and the breakfast terrace were of neighbouring buildings with hills in the background rather than pastoral green.
We stayed for two nights in one of the executive suites (well worth the extra!) and had the most fabulous time. Beautifully styled throughout and the huge granite bath was to die for. Seems it only opened a few months ago, run by a super friendly and helpful family and they are rightly imo choosing to start slowly and get things right. The Valentines dinner was one of their first proper dinner services and tbh it was 6 courses of excellence and fantastic value for money. Breakfast was also superb and served in your room on request. Honestly nothing if real note to improve, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will 100% return! Thanks guys, J and L
A brand new lodging option in the Triodos mountain area with a culinary chef and wonderful rooms as well as great staffing who do everything possible to make you feel welcome and comfortable. A nice fireplace and easy starting point to explore this beautiful area.
This is a very unique place with perfect details and excellent breakfast. The village is also great.
Highly recommended.
Very good overall. Prices are the same as 5 star hotels on the beach at this time of the year (e.g. Amathus, Radisson Blue etc) , but certainly not at par with them when it comes to ambiance, breakfast, and rooms. I really feel that prices for a very decent B&B that it is should be half of what they are. Dinner at 40 euros per pop needed a bit more thought and not just quantity and maybe a small drink or even a bottle of water included (and a quality dessert) for that price. I do, however, recommend it as this is JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION. P. S. Music at dinner was absolutely amazing. The singer was excellent!
Excellent... excellent ..... from the covered parking to the warm welcome at the Reception. A modern boutique run by the family . The bedrooms were modern and very comfortable. A delicious breakfast.
The color decor were calming and modern.
