2 night stay.
Pros:

Beautiful home and garden. Great hosts. Super room, comfy bed and stunning bathroom.. We will definitely stay here again.

Style over substance
Pros:

The gardens were beautiful and the location is very quiet. The beds were comfortable.

Cons:

It hadn't been clear to me that there would be no breakfast, and the hospitality tray in the room felt quite tired (dusty Christmas teas, etc) and ungenerous.

The way in which the property was presented to us on arrival made clear that the deficiencies of the facilities (creaking doors, glitchy lights, etc) were the responsibility of the guests to manage and that any sensible person would be able to do this. There was a rather oppressive undertone of passive aggression and we were left with the sense of 'house rules' which inhibited relaxation.

We were told to leave the bathroom as it had been found and to clean the shower after use - this is, in my view, not the job of a hotel guest. It was in any case a moot point as the shower was unusable. This did minimise the risk that the shared bathroom would be occupied when we needed it, at least.

A must stay🫶
Pros:

The hosts are great, always got time to chat though always busy it seems. The house blows me away, the interior design and attention to detail is mind blowing. Also now the garden borders are in full bloom and again well designed.

The kindness, the eye for detail, the care! It was very familiar and Chris & Tony were very very nice and helpful, and did everything in their power to make us feel welcome. It is as close to family as you get 😊

Not great, I expected better. Tony as a host was friendly, Chris could not be bothered to speak to us.
Pros:

It is a lovely house if you like Victorian design.

Cons:

Most uncomfortable due to thick pillows and strange material used for the duvet, definitely not cotton.
I had not realised that we would sharing a bathroom.

Really enjoyable stay.
Pros:

Room only so no breakfast. Very friendly and full of information about the local area and where to eat and visit. Certainly would visit again. Got on really well with the hosts. Fantastic gardens in full flower.
