Overall facility is pleasant. The owners are wonderful and convivial and very willing to accommodate our needs
I originally picked the room of our reservation because my wife usually takes tub baths - not showers - and the pics and description said Tub. While the bathroom was recently updated, they removed the tub and had a nice new walk-in shower. I didn't realize it until later in the evening, when it was too late to try to change rooms. Not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to know about the change in amenities.
Breakfasts were very good and a cut above many
Room very chilly....window next to armchair very crafty. Had to ask for a space heater which took the chill off. Dont think the room price reflected any degree of comfortability
The ambiance of the house was very nice; peaceful and quiet, very relaxing. Very good breakfast meal, good coffee, and enjoyed eating in front of the fireplace. Beautifully decorated for Christmas! !
House and restaurant were superb.
Some logistical issues were surprising. Nobody knew the password to the Wifi, and the manager did not respond to an inquiry by text. There was no hot water available for tea despite making the manager aware. Breakfast started delayed due to staff not being available. However, the unusual situation was not communicated to guests. Probably a fluke, but the lack of communication and courtesy were surprising.
Loved the porch and the rocking chairs and places in the yard to sit. And the walkability of the neighborhood.
We did not have any hot water the first day, thus no shower. Fixed the second day. Violet was a joy and very attentive.
Everything!! Clean, spacious, friendly staff, comfortable, amazing breakfast included
nothing - everything was wonderful!
Location
Dated facilities, no tv in room, staff not present when we arrived, bathroom small with sink in main room, hot water slow to arrive in shower, breakfast service began too late 8:30 for our needs, very expensive for what was provided.
Maggie and Violet were excellent!! Taking turns at Hostess and Chef, they both did a fantastic job!!
The inn was very nice, very picturesque, and located a short walk from downtown Black Mountain.
Like any older home, the hot water took a while to get hot, and the AC seemed to struggle a bit. Nothing too serious - we very much enjoyed our stay!!
Very quaint and lovely
Took awhile for shower to get hot
It's a lovely Inn. The staff was great . The Inn keeper, Violet was awesome! She made sure we had everything we needed and even helped us with our bags. She provided first class service. The breakfast was delicious and we loved the choices. We had a wonderful time and hope to return.
Location -quiet neighborhood close to downtown Black Mountain shops and restaurants.
No one to greet or help us when we arrived. Only phone number to call and didn’t see it at first until we asked a border. Very few people there early season. Had hoped for more overtly welcoming a nd friendly place.
Very quaint place to stay with a bakery attached. Town was within walking distance. I would highly recommend it.
