Excellent stay in historic lodging
Pros:

Clean and comfortable rooms with historic features, great breakfast, convenient location! We enjoyed our stay in the Ludlow House and would definitely stay there again.

Nice but a few problems with the plumbing.

We loved the historic feel and overall atmosphere.

Cons:

For a bed and breakfast, the breakfast was subpar and no better than a continental breakfast at a typical travel lodge. The sink taps in our room were both connected to the hot water supply providing no cold water. The shower provided very little adjustability, only allowing the temperature to be tolerable when adjusted to the point of having very little water pressure when adjusted cool enough. There’s something wrong with the plumbing in that room. We had no such problems in the other house from two weeks prior.

Beautiful Gem
Pros:

Beautifully restored architectural gems - like stepping back into a bygone era with the modern comforts. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Loved the welcome beverage and full breakfast.

The best place to stay in Winston Salem
Pros:

It is the best place to stay in Winston Salem, for sure.
It’s decorated very tastefully , and the people are so nice and welcoming.
I’ve stayed in various rooms of the Inn over the years, and they all have their own cozy, comfy charm.
I will definitely be back!

The best!
Pros:

Lovely place, lovely people, great breakfast and snacks! One of the best B&Bs I've ever been to, if not THE best.

Stay Here if you Can
Pros:

If I could give more than five stars I would. Location is an easy walk to restaurants, downtown, coffee shops and a great park. Rooms are large and comfortable and the renovation was done with an eye to quality and authenticity with amenities like AC and showers up to date. Staff were friendly and responded to requests quickly. Quiet neighborhood and it is a beautiful neighborhood. Incredible gardens with a porch that was made for hanging out.

Pros:

I liked the scenery. It was beautiful.

Cons:

There were shards of glass on the side of the bed closest to the wall. It was on the rug and I didn’t realize it and stepped on it with my bare feet and cut myself. The room needed more plug ins.

Lovely stay in a fabulous property. .
Pros:

This is an amazing property and so much better than any chain hotels. The 2 houses joined by a courtyard/ garden have been beautifully and sympathetically restored and the suites ( which you select beforehand) are comfortable and very large. Bed/ pillows are extremely comfortable & free parking is available in front of the houses.

Cons:

Absolutely nothing! We had a fabulous stay,

Outstanding stay in beautiful renovated hotel.
Pros:

Wow! . So glad I did sone research & found this hidden gem & we didn’t just book into a chain hotel . The house we stayed in is one of a pair side by side has been beautifully & sympathetically restored and is fabulous. . You choose your ‘suite’ before you go & The room we had was huge and the bathroom much much more spacious than average. The shower on its own was as big as most bathrooms. We are on a road trip from England and have stayed in various chain hotels & an air b&b & this was by far the nicest stay -& was actually the cheapest night we have had. The bed was so comfy with huge fluffy pillows and the fridge in the room was appreciated . Breakfast was a selection of hot items, the usual bread/ fruit bread for toast , muffins & beautiful freshly squeezed orange juice. Free car parking outside the hotel was a plus & it is walkable distance to restaurants. Our only disappointment was we were only staying one night.

Outstanding inn.
Pros:

Beautifully furnished and decorated inn. Room was spotlessly clean and bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts were very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location in walking distance to several restaurants.

Pros:

Good location.

Cons:

Not clean. There was a few dead cockroach in the bathroom, and some roach shells close to the bed. Initially planned to stay for 3 nights but checked out after 1 night. Asked for a refund but property did not accomodate. No one was in the property that stays 24/7 for assistance. Asked for water, but they said they are out. Place looks nice but would never book again.
