Grand Zowar Hotel

From check-in to check-out, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. There was a clear lack of staff at reception, and the one person available could neither speak nor understand English properly. On top of that, they were rude, inconsiderate, and disrespectful.

The reception area was chaotic, with luggage piled everywhere, and the lifts were insufficient for the number of guests, causing long waits.

When we finally entered the room, it was in a filthy condition. The bathroom and sink took an unreasonably long time to get hot water, and the drainage was poor—even with minimal use, it would start to clog. Basic amenities like soap and toothpaste, which are standard even in lower-priced hotels, were not provided.

The bed sheets were not clean, which is completely unacceptable. The air conditioning system was outdated and very difficult to operate—I had to call someone from downstairs just to get it working.

Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I would never step foot in this hotel again

L accueil, des gens irrespectueux, un hotel avec des couloir etroit et on dirait un hotel de bidonville, hotel jamais renové , tout date des annee 70.

The check in process was extremely long. The staff seemed more busy with chatting to their friends rather than attending to the customers at hand. The room was atrocious. It was dirty and the beds were broken and sunken in the middle. When we walked into the room there was a huge gap in between the windows. So much so the gust of air was blowing into the room. When reported they came and put tape along the seams and said they couldn’t do anything about it and had no rooms to move us to. The room had no towels tissue, tea, coffee or any other amenities you would expect to find in a room. We had to request many times for someone to come and provide us with some towels. The noise inside the hotel was extreme. We barely slept due to screaming and shouting along the corridors. The whole room stank of smoke as the air from outside was being blown in from people smoking outside. We had to leave the door open so the smell of cigarette smoke would dissipate from the room a little. The hotel boats a no smoking policy but it smelt like someone was standing and smoking inside our room, my children coughed whilst they slept and my wife could not sleep through the night.
We barely slept, and got up at dawn and left with our children for the entire day. We had two nights booked however we decided we could not stay another night at this horrible hotel and left at night to find alternative accommodation. Do not recommend! Please avoid!
