I have stayed here many times and I love it!

The staff here are helpful, knowledgeable and kind. They know you by name and are always smiling when they see you return! Reservation, concierge and cleaning staff make sure you have everything you need and take good care of you.

Lovely apartments with beautiful property - amazing beach and clean pools just outside your doorstep. As someone who likes to cook they have great kitchens in the open concept apartments!


Just a few minutes walk from the gym, supermarket, multiple restaurants, barbershop and disco. Everything you need is close by.

Would recommend if you’re looking to avoid an all inclusive resort with a more chill vibe! Excellent choice for a relaxing but fun vacation.

I will definitely return in the future :)

I’ve stayed here a number of times in the past. I’ve always enjoyed my time - the property is safe, has convenient grocery and restaurant options and is only minutes from the beach. Staff are friendly and attentive for the most part and I love staying here.

During my last two visits the apartments I stayed in were disappointing. Ive noticed a change in the upkeep of the properties in the last 6 months. Check-in took a full hour. Other than that I was happy and will return.

Pros:

There was a water bug in the pool. We ask the office to clean it and it was never cleaned. This took away two days we could have gotten usage out of the pool. We have a six year old who wanted to go into the pool and was scared. We left the pool and check periodically to see if it was cleaned and it was not.

I rented the penthouse with hot tub, and when I got there the room they took us to was a penthouse no hot tub. I showed my itinerary and they even told me to call Expedia to show them what I purchased and Maria wanted to argue that it wasn’t what I choose and that she was the manager. I again called Expedia to send me over the amenities included and sure enough the hot tub was on the booking. It took 2 hrs for us to get in the correct room. There was no need to argue about what I did or didn’t purchased especially being our first time there. Our concierge was kinda annoyed by the whole situation but after we got settled in the correct room it ended up being great!! Lack of customer service skills for sure. The beach and workers there were great!

Absolutely one of the best experiences I have had. This resort exceeded my expectations, especially for the price. I am already looking for another opportunity to come back. Staff are very polite and friendly, food was delicious, and the beach was amazing. Several bilingual staff to support me but Jefferson was hands down an integral part of my trip. He is a delight and kept in contact with me throughout my staff to ensure everything was perfect for me. 10/10

Playa Palmera Beach Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, may look appealing in photos, but I strongly recommend doing deeper research or choosing a different resort if you’re looking for a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay — somewhere that delivers on its promises, values its guests, and takes customer satisfaction seriously. Unfortunately, Playa Palmera did none of that.
