ALWATEEN HOTEL

I recently stayed one night at the Al Wateen Hotel in Al-ʿUla specifically to visit Hegra, and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Despite my initial hesitations about traveling to the region, the Al Wateen proved to be a great choice.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly accommodating. The lady at the front desk was particularly helpful and kind, even assisting me with my Arabic, which I greatly appreciated. This warm welcome immediately put me at ease.

The hotel itself is conveniently located roughly halfway between the airport and Hegra, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. It's also not far from the old town of Al-ʿUla, offering easy access to other attractions. Plenty of parking was available, which was a definite plus.

My room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel also offered a very good breakfast with a chef on hand to prepare eggs to order. The breakfast staff, like the front desk staff, were helpful and attentive. They even assisted me with my luggage, which was a nice touch.

Overall, I highly recommend the Al Wateen Hotel to anyone visiting Al-ʿUla, especially those planning a trip to Hegra. The friendly and accommodating staff, convenient location, comfortable rooms, and excellent breakfast made for a very positive experience. It's a great option for travelers, even if you're a little nervous about visiting the region for the first time.

It was fair stay , the one thing i dont like is no privacy at bathroom .
U ur couple was shy or first time together this room is nit recommended.
And bed pillow was high, hard and not comfort

Sehr gepflegte und saubere Unterkunft. Etwa 30 Minuten Fahrzeit mit dem Auto entfernt von Hegra. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, sehr gute Englischkenntnisse. Tolles, umfangreiches und sehr leckeres Frühstück.

The hotel does not provide the value for the high price we paid. No room service. Humming noice all night long. Breakfast medium quality. You have to keep the water running for a minute or more before you can take a hot shower- what a waste of water. Towels have seen better days. The room as such was nice and the staff very friendly.

There are not many hotel options in Alula. The apartment we rented on the first night was not good. We rented another apartment on the second night and we could not find the place. Through expedia we found this one. The hotel is very clean and quite. It is about 20 min car ride to the center The staff and manage are very nice. We booked one night and the manager gave us a discount on next two nights. Overall it is a good experience and this is the hotel we will stay if we come back again.
