Sea Angel

Rude counter check in and hidden parking fees.

I stayed 4 different times on the several properties in the area that HBH owns. Other than the resort fee, I was never charged for parking before. James the person on duty at check in, was extremely unpleasant , and should not be working directly with customers. I witnessed him being rude at a different visit with customers as well.
This will be my last time I would stay at any of the HBH group hotels.
The room smells like chemicals. The air condition units is very loud.

The only things i didn't like was the stove being nailed shut,and there was no A-C.....those little air things wasn't keeping the room cool.The location was awesome, room service awesome.

I liked its proximity to the sea and the comfortable and spacious room. I didn’t like the poor air conditioning

I have been coming to this place for several years now. Its become my family's vacation spot. Angel Sea is part of the Hollywood Beach Hotels (HBH). These comfortable suites are situated just a couple of feet away from the boardwalk and beach. They also share bbq areas, pools abd offer a discount at the cycle shop on the boardwalk. The rooms are clean and spacious, some having fantastic views of the area. The service was good and friendly, getting to know some employees by nicknames: the handyman was Cuba, the Breakfast Lady ( in charge of the free continental breakfast offered every morning), and Maria, Nicaragua and Venezuela from the front desk. Also, their parking is much cheaper than the public parking offered by the city. Don't forget to use their beach towels, your deposit is refunded. Well situated as its at walking distance from Margaritaville free concerts and other area eateries, stores and sports rental /tours. Great place, great value, will be returning.

Nice, cheap, clean. Good for a one night stay. Bed was super comfortable.

Unfortunately, the pool was not clean during our stay, which was disappointing.

Good Stay

We were supposed to stay at sea Angel.
When we arrived they said they didn't have that location available. So they put us in the Delmar location. Basically this company owns several streets. So basically a large complex. Within the complex there are five pools. They are not in great shape. Back to the room we stayed in. Inside according to

This hotel was not described as on the website. We got there and it looks like old rundown apartment. Not modern at all. There were no dishes/pots / pans. Had to go back to the front desk to request them. One positive things is the big size of rooms/living room. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy - just breads, cereals, and juice/milk/coffee.

Property was close to the beach but air conditioning was working well. Had kitchen but no utensils, plates or cups

There was no hot water in the shower, used bar of soap in the shower, the sink kept clogging. Sheets were dirty with someone else’s hair. The place was dirty over all. Could not sleep all night
