The Courtyard hotel is a traditional noble house refurbished into a hotel. Its peaceful courtyard makes it unique. Located on the peaceful Z street it is still only moment’s walk to everything in busy Thames. The rooms are large. As an older building, there are stairs. The staff are great.
I love how this hotel has a library - it is such a wonderful place to hang out! Friendly staff! Also, the friendly dog is worth a special mention.
The room and the bed was both spacious and comfortable. Loved how there was a fan instead of an AC. It was also nice to have a full length mirror in the room.
The hotel is due for a renovation. However. there are many small things that can be done to improve the service. For example, please fix the dead lock/ chain in the room door. As a woman travelling alone, security is a number one concern and small things like these can cause anxiety.
First of all the location of this hotel is superb, you are literally in the centre of the Thamel district. However, it is very quiet, as soon as you turn into the courtyard the sound levels drop. They were just getting ready for the new season when we arrived so work was going on, but the hotel is good and the staff are fantastic. We needed somewhere central to sleep and were not concerned about facilities that more expensive hotels had so the price was also very good.
It is a beautiful historical building. It is not completely renovated. But the renovated part is wonderful.
Not completely renovated.
Beautiful property and eco friendly.
Rooms and bathrooms are a bit outdated. So to cater international guests they have to update the rooms and bathrooms.
The staff are very enthusiastic and helpful. The hotel is located in Thamel but relatively quiet. There is a adorable dog named Cali in the hotel.
Nothing, everything is great
The location was perfect . Central yet quiet . The lunch thali was delicious. Very aesthetically done and green courtyard . Beautiful building with spacious staircase .
The wifi was a bit iffy . The breakfast didn't hv much variety . Fruits could hv been included with the breakfast . The rooms can hv kettles with tea n coffee sachets etc
Staff were fantastic! Great location, hotel full of character. One of our favourites
Nothing
It was really beautiful stay in this hotel in Kathmandu.
Great location, in touristic area, a lot of cafe, shops and spa nearby, but with cosy garden inside in the calm place. Sleeping was deep and nothing bothered it. Room was huge and price was more than reasonable.
Special thanks to the staff especially the front man Kunchhang - he did his best to make the stay as comfortable as it might be.
The staff, especially Kunshing were fantastic!
We had a huge room (dated but full of character and history) nice breakfast and a great location.
nothing
Great location, very quiet and just off the Main Street of Thamel. Staff are great. Our room was very large with aircon and ensuite.
It was all good
Beautiful Hotel in a great location. We stayed in suites which were huge in size and so comfortable. Pujan and his staff looked after us so well with breakfast each morning, airport transfers and a day of sightseeing around Kathmandu. Highly recommended.
