Great hotel , lovely staff and good location
Not enough hot water
location, quiet place, view of Kilimanjaro, friendly staff, good breakfast
The hinge on the bathroom door was torn off. There was no chair in the room.
The Balkeni / restaurant area have a nice view
Small garden
This is a homely family-run setup that is quiet and has a pleasant view of Kilimanjaro on a clear day. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, genuinely trying to meet the needs. With more investment they can improve a lot.
The bathrooms in several of the units are not properly slanted, such that the water from a shower pools across the floor. Fortunately, we were moved after mentioning this, but the alternative rooms had their own issues, such as wifi being unavailable in the rooms, or different states of disrepair, like doors lifting off the hinges. The food, where despite a menu only had one available item, was not good, and the service was quite slow. Properly setting the mosquito nets required moving the beds around.
Super à recommander 👍🏼
Nice views from the terrace and friendly staff
Room was poor, dark and in need of some renovation
This is a budget hotel, which is great value for money. The staff, Nick, Zak and all are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble from collecting from the airport, to some unforgettable trips. A one day hike up kilimanjaro and a waterfall walk with coffee roasting and making. Zak took us to the market and a local bar. All amazing.
The food is basic but lovely. Breakfast omelette and pancakes are delicious.
Perhaps the hotel needs a little updating, but for the money, you can't go wrong.
We loved our time here! My husband and I (USA) stayed here for two nights before heading to Arusha, and it was a great starting point for our trip. Nickson picked us up from the airport with ease, and he was so easy to communicate with! He made prepping for our arrival and the activities we wanted to do so easy. We also did a hike to Materuni Falls through this inn and it was beautiful! It included a coffee tour and lunch as well. There were many people involved though so if you’re planning on tipping, bring small increments of money. All in all, would recommend!!
The breakfast was basic but worked.
The electric sockets were pulled off the wall.
The location of the room was just right near the walkway.
Felt like the staff were on the window from the outside talking loudly.
