locatie was zeer mooi, iets buiten het centrum, maar prima te lopen. het huisje wat wij hadden zag er super uit, veel ruimte en alles netjes voor elkaar.

Cons:

Personeel spreek alleen Spaans, dat was soms wat lastig in de communicatie.

Une belle découverte en bord de plage
Pros:

Notre séjour à El Gecko a été une formidable entrée en matière pour notre voyage en famille au Guatemala. Nous avons pu prendre le temps et découvrir la côte pacifique dans un cadre magnifique. L'accueil par le personnel nous a fait sentir à la maison.

The place is clean, the food is good, and the location outside the center is peaceful.

Cons:

The staff are unprofessional and loud. It felt more like a family hangout than a hotel. There was constant shouting, music, and even karaoke. A child was often running around screaming. On our last night, a thunderstorm knocked out all power—no fans, no light, no water, no AC, no WiFi, and no help from staff. The heat made it impossible to sleep in rooms without windows. The next morning, we were told there was a generator, which was turned on briefly for us to shower—power never came back before checkout. For nearly $100 per night, this is unacceptable. Would not recommend.
