The stay was okay

That it was right by the beach

Cons:

My room wasn’t ready when I got there. I even waited up at the rooftop for 2 hours to give them time and the front desk was like no it’s still not ready. Front desks gave me a room that I didn’t purchase. Just a frustrating way to start a vacation

I tolerated the stay by mostly being outside the room
Pros:

The hotel is a few steps from the beach. Hotel room was spacious. Rooftop restaurant and bar had good food and drinks and the view was spectacular.

Cons:

My room (405) had extremely poor air and carpet quality. Upon entering, I was immediately met with a strong odor of mold and noticeable dusty air. As someone with significant allergies to dust and mold, this was especially concerning and made the room very uncomfortable to stay in. I requested a room change, but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked. Staff placed an ozone purifier in the room, which helped reduce the mold odor, but the air remained dusty and difficult to tolerate. I was genuinely worried about triggering an asthma attack and even considered sleeping on the balcony for fresh air. I tolerated the 1 night stay by mostly being outside the room. It was very disheartening to pay almost $400/night for a room that i couldn't relax in and enjoy. I am seriously dissappointed with my stay at Casa Costera in room 405. Management: The carpet and AC filter in room 405 clearly need to be replaced or thoroughly cleaned. It is unfair to offer this room in exchange was someone's hard earn money.

Great price for spacious and clean rooms in a great location.
Pros:

Very clean and spacious rooms. Love that there is a balcony and our room had a partial ocean view which was beautiful. The rooftop is awesome chill vibe with hot tub, pool, and restaurant. The bathrooms were extremely clean and towels very plush. In a great location. Staff is very nice! One of the best Marriott’s I have stayed in.

Cons:

Surrounding buildings are a bit decrepit. The housekeeping does not come daily to take out trash or refresh towels, but will come if you ask!
