Good hotel. I would select it again.
Pros:

The rooms are nice big and the furnature was good. It was the first hotel that didn't lie about the size of the room. The staff was very friendly and supportive.

Cons:

The mattres are far too hard. Other hotels in Uzbekistan seems to have the same problem. The breakfast was poor.

Pros:

Friendly staff, clean and perfectly safe for a solo female traveller. It was further from the centre of town than i was expecting. Also the bed was incredibly hard.

Nice place to stay: for 10USD more per night you can have a 'deluxe' room- worth it
Pros:

I came late and was put in a small room without the promised table and chair and tea maker. Next day asked for a table and chair and they put me into a deluxe room, for which at the end they wanted me to pay extra, which I refused. "I asked for a table, chair and 'chainik', that was all, not another room!" That was quickly solved. The breakfast is exceptionally good, but everything is cold. The location of hotel is super with nice Turkish restaurants nearby.

Cons:

The room I got was not according to description on booking.com. 3rd floor without lift: I was glad I only had a small rucksack.

Pros:

Great stay at the Royal Hotel. The staff were very accomodating and let us check in early as we had gotten the earlier train. Short walk to all main attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed.

Recommend this hotel to everyone, good value for money.
Pros:

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast was very good. All staff are kind and helpful. Especially staff called Hasan was very helpful, he is a real pro of his job.

Cons:

Cleanliness, kind and helpful staff, delicious breakfast and good location.

Pros:

1) Breakfast
2) Great location
3) Staff
4) Good condition of the hotel

Cons:

1) The rent seemed too high for me. But in Samarkand everywhere rent to expensive.
2) I was not warned about room cleaning. When I was asked - do you need cleaning? I answered no. But when I returned to the room after a walk, I noticed that the cleaning had been done. I had to check all personal things. Fortunately, nothing was missing.
