A Beautiful Little Property Overlooking the Nam Khan River
Pros:

What a gem of a place in a small city filled with so many beautiful buildings. The shuttered windows on all the guest rooms, the gorgeous balcony for all the second-floor rooms, the lushness of the small but intimate garden all make this boutique guesthouse a pleasure to stay at.

Cons:

At times, it was difficult finding anyone on-site. A simple solution would be to have a bell on the front desk.

This hotel showed 4 stars and 9.8 review rating. It was nothing of the sort. In reality it was run down with the tap and shower faucets both broken, lights not working, and a very dirty lobby floor. We were awakened at 6:45 each morning by banging around and loud talking right outside our door. The staff were inattentive and hardly looked up from their phones. We left two days early and they didn't bother to ask why. Very inexpensive, but we couldn't stay one more night and forfeited our money in order to find another hotel for the last two nights.

Perfect stay!
Pros:

We had a perfect stay at the Villa Namkhan, the room was huge, the bed was super comfortable and the staff were so attentive. They helped with booking trains and were always on hand if we had questions. The location is walking distance to everything so you can just relax and enjoy Luang Prabang.

Wonderful stay. Would come again!
Pros:

Staff were lovely, they upgraded our room for our whole stay and gave us breakfast for free. They help to sort a motorbike too, maybe more pricey than other places but they bring the bikes inside at night to ensure they’re safe.
Rooms were big and clean and lovely hot water in the shower.
Location was 5-10 minute walk from the main strip and very peaceful by the river.

Pros:

The owner was friendly and genuine. She was always willing the help us book our tours and taxi ect. The rooms were big! Nice and clean. The balcony was so pretty to sit and wind down. Breakfast was tasty and I recommend the omelet.

Pros:

Very nice staff, breakfast was filling and delicious. Quiet and peaceful, right by the Mekong river. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants in the area, even on the other side of the river.

Perfect location for central Luang Prabang historical town.
Pros:

It was lovely and calm with river view. To the main street it is just 3min walking.

Just round the corner are two very good French restaurants for amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner and drinks.

Also all central tourist spots are in walking distance.
Staff is friendly and helpful. A scooter and motor bike rental is next door.

All in all, a perfect location.
