A nightmare experience
Pros:

There is nothing about this hotel that was likeable. Well actually that is not true. I liked the day that I decided I am moving to another hotel and was able to leave and never go back.

Cons:

Unfortunately the hotel fell well short of what I expected from a four-star hotel. The room was extremely small, with very limited space for luggage and no comfortable area to work properly. The bathroom was also exceptionally cramped. Cleanliness does not seem to be a priority. 

Soundproofing was poor, which made the room feel even less comfortable. Breakfast was crowded and underwhelming, and the overall service experience was disappointing. Some staff were rude, unhelpful and seemed irritated by fairly normal requests.

The location is very convenient, but for the price I expected a much higher standard of comfort, service and functionality.

Easy & clean all we needed for 1 night
Pros:

Lovely helpful staff, room is small but has all we needed. Easy location for china town & metro to gardens at bay. Able to use pool post checking out while waiting for flight & easy luggage storage

Comfy bed, great sleep.
Pros:

Melbourne's most famous ice creamery Gelato Messina is literally right in front of Mercure and well known restaurant Jungle was so close by. It was a plus point for us! A lot of restaurants so close by and walking distance to Maxwell Food Court. Great location. Room was small but the very comfy bed made up for it.

Cons:

The tap water pressure was very low, it was trickling.

Overall zufriedenstellend aber schlechter Schlaf wegen des kurzes Bettes.
Pros:

Super Lage, freundliches Personal, sehr sauber, schöner Pool

Cons:

Das Bett ist viel zu kurz (ca. 1.60 Meter lang) und das Zimmer verfügt über keinerlei Schränke oder Ablagefläche.

Excellent location and as you would expect
Pros:

Good location, friendly staff (especially Dean(? Apologies if I misspelled) on the concierge counter).

Cons:

Hadn’t realised the windows are a bit like a goldfish bowl if you have the lights on at night - anyone can see in. Not a problem, just didn’t like that so much.
