My hotel of course choice in Cowes - modern, kitschy, fun!
Pros:

It was very modern with nice finishing. The owners are wonderful and really care about their guests and our experience. I spend a lot of time in Cowes sailing and regatta racing, this will be my go to place going forward.

Cons:

It didn’t matter to me personally, but the location is fantastic which also means it can be noisy at night with the bars so close by. Again, the owners took this into consideration and leave ear plugs and have blackout curtains and double pain windows which is very helpful. Other similar properties in town won’t have these amenities.

Pros:

Room and location were lovely, staff helpful and accommodating. Dressing gowns, coffee maker etc a welcome addition and the little light by the loo was a good idea.

Cons:

Check in was overcomplicated at the end of a lonv journey, too many automated messages, not clear on site that check in is expected by a certain time, also breakfast is listed as available when it isn't - not a big deal as there are plenty of places nearby but incorrect!

Cowes is a great place all year round and this place is well located.
Pros:

Location is perfect. Room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Coffee machine as opposed to kettle but that’s a personal choice, I prefer a kettle.

Cons:

Lift wasn’t working and no breakfasts available, none of which explained in advance

Exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated, but confusion checking in, luggage lift not working,
Pros:

The room was very nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. It’s in a great location for the town.
The fixtures and fittings were of very good high class quality and there were lots of quirky items.
The bedding was of lovely quality.
The hotel had some beautiful areas for sitting and having a drink but the bar was only open at select times.

Cons:

A whole lot of confusion about checking in and receiving the key code! Another guest phoned and sorted it for us as no one was there to help check in even though we had sent messages to inform of our late arrival (6pm).
The luggage lift was out of order so we had to hump our large suitcase up 3 flights of stairs
Plugs for the kettle/ coffee maker were behind a unit and long curtain which had to drape over the cables, not very safe and looked unsightly.
Need some shelving near the sink in the bathroom

Excellent experience.
Pros:

Nice clean room and comfortable beds. I got a sleep score of 92 which was the best sleep I had all year! I told my wife and daughters we are installing bunk beds at home and sleeping all in the same room!

Cons:

The doors to the bathroom and toilet in the room have obscured glass (modern look), which is “ok” you can’t see through them, but we would have preferred solid doors.

Ideal location in a spacious suite which was lovely and warm on a cold weekend
Pros:

The suite was spacious, very clean quiet and attractive. Location was perfect in the High Street.
Unfortunately the lift was not working and we had been allocated a room on the third floor but our hosts kindly changed this to the first floor.

Cons:

We did not like the tassimo coffee machine, only two pods supplied and these were not replaced on the second day. A mirror in the mezzanine bedroom would have been useful as there was no socket for a hairdryer near a mirror.

An exceptional relaxing, unique boutique hotel by the sea.
Pros:

Well decorated. lovely individual touches. more than a home from home. Met by the owner. very personal. brought an iron and board to the room. Wish we had longer there to enjoy the bar. An amazing boutique hotel. We loved it!

Lovely staff, clean, spacious and modern.
Pros:

The room was spacious, modern and clean.
All staff were very friendly, welcoming and supportive throughout stay.

Cons:

A breakfast offering would be good, and we did believe we would have had complimentary snacks and drinks in the club lounge associated with the club room, but apparently this has recently changed. Perhaps to improve expectation, make it clear that access to the lounge is open to the public, and nothing complimentary regardless of the class of room booked.
