Fort George Hotel & Spa

I love Fort George because it has always created outdoor space to enjoy the essence of Belize. The staff is the absolute best demonstration Belizean love of others. They perform thier jobs as if its not a job.

I recommend Fort for a true Belizean upscale experience.

The rooms are clean, staff friendly and helpful at the front desk, restaurant and spa.

Fort George was so great I can’t wait to come back. The staff was so helpful upon arrival. Kelsie answered any questions I had , they have a great taco Thursday , and the restaurant there is amazing. Fort george also had a great spa service and a great lounge for me to get work done. I wish I would’ve enjoyed their pool and gym more but this is hands down the best place to stay in Belize city thank you guys so much for the love you showed .

Ever since they changed management the service has been terrible. The new manager has an attitude and unwilling to help.

Property was really great with clean rooms, a good gym and a nicely maintained (but small) swimming pool. The supper in the restaurant was really great/ tasty, breakfast was a la carte (rather than a buffet) which was not as nice. The hotel is well situated for the port, museum and other things - but note that the overall general area is quite run down and does not feel all that safe.

From the moment I was picked up at the airport with a sign bearing my name (an unexpected and thoughtful touch) to the moment we checked out, the entire experience felt magical. I was celebrating my birthday, and everything about Fort George Hotel & Spa was perfect: the aroma walking in is hypnotizing, before being embossed in the chic and modern and calming aesthetic. The hotel’s minimalist, zen approach made it feel both luxurious and peaceful. The welcome Hibiscus drink was incredibly refreshing and set the tone for a relaxing stay.
The staff was outstanding, professional, accommodating, and so easy to interact with. I was seriously impressed with the service. The Welcome on the TV screen with my name on it was cute as well.

Everything during my stay was amazing, and the staff went above and beyond. They were always polite, helpful, and ready to suggest things to do and excursions to try. Special thanks to Kelsie who organized my birthday decor with my friend. The room was decorated with colorful balloons and a beautiful cake. It was so thoughtful, personalized, and an element of surprise as I walked in after breakfast. The Treehouse restaurant served up amazing drinks and food, all cooked to perfection.

Kaylon introduced me to the Passion Fruit Michelada drink and Limoncello shots they were smooth. Notable the Limoncello was his signature craft on the bar I think that is a great incorporation for the hotel for inclusion of the staff expertise and makes it exclusive.

The staff could not have been nicer. Enjoyed our stay very much. A lot of new construction going on. Should be very nice when finished. Could have a little bigger menu.

Clean sea view room. Only bad factor is the city had a water issue which caused the hotel to lose water pressure for a shower.

All was good. Need to remove the door closer on for the balcony. It does not permit to freely use the outside. One note. In the men’s bathroom if you use the wc the light turns off as the sensor is only for the common area. Need Towle hanger in the bathroom of the rooms.
