The smell left by smokers is everywhere, even in non-smoking rooms. Cigarette ashes on the side entrances don't clean for a long time. There is a strong odour in the rooms, the bed linen is damp.
The location and it was clean.
The beds were hard as a rock and the breakfast was a joke. Coffee was empty, they had 3 yogurts, white/wheat generic bread (no toppings for it) and 2 types of dry cereal but no milk.
The room was very clean, clean sheets and bedding. The bathroom was extremely clean as well, shower, toilet sinks, floors. The beds were firm but comfy. Plenty of fluffy pillows. The TV had cable and plenty of great channels. The staff was very friendly. The location was perfect. Super close to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. With beach area super close.
The room was quiet with no loud noises or loud neighbors. It's a small hotel that is for people who want a quiet, easy stay without all the extra bells and whistles.
The only complaint that I have would be the musty smell in the room. I believe it was coming through the air vents and not the actual room or the furniture in the room.
I noticed they were doing some renovations in the lobby area with moisture fans blowing. So, I wonder if that was the reason for the smell.
It was easy fix with a scented candle (that I bought across the street at a small Walmart).
The breakfast was smaller then expected with waffles, cereal, toast, orange juice and very thick coffee.
It was clean and nice
I couldn’t stay because when I went to check in they had lost power due to a storm… so t understand why the didn’t have back up generators
Room on 1st. floor. Found window not secure (could open 2 ft. from outside. ) Seemed like a lot of locals loitering around the building.
The smell from AC unit was unpleasant. We didn't stay the second night as planned. We packed up and left early.
The breakfast was gone. Cafeteria was a mess. Trash was overflowing. No one monitoring to restock.
There were other guest in the room above me. A woman and 3 kids . They were yelling bouncing on the floor. Extreme profanity and racial comments. It continued from the time we checked on Friday the 3rd and continued throughout our stay at all hours of the night. Continuously banging and yelling. I reported this 7 times to the desk people and nothing was done until the 7th complaint when I told the desk person if he did not go do something about it I was. I would expect more from the Best Western brand. I spent almost $500 for 2 rooms and the problem was not addressed until 5 hours before I checked out. I will never book at this hotel again. It appears that once you pay your bill the staff doesn't care what happens. I work at a resort with 3 hotels this type of behavior is not tolerated. Nevertheless my public review will reflect my experience at this hotel. Extremely disappointing.
The location was great! My room was clean and comfortable.
