Front desk not working 24 hours also cleaning done every week instead of every day
My second stay here. Really clean and well maintained. Excellent staff on the front desk who are friendly and very helpful. Very good value and location. Short walk to the nearest MRT station Orchard.
Nothing.
The room was excellent - a lot of reviews talk about how small the room is - it is on the small side but has loads of storage so it’s less noticeable and the (single) bed and shower are very spacious which makes a big difference. The lounge room is ideal for studying/working in, the coffee machine made good coffee (and it’s free which of course makes it taste better), the pool is lovely and the location is fantastic!
Only negatives are small things - there isn’t anywhere to hang up clothes that you can’t tumble dry after a wash which would have been nice especially when the rooms are on the colder side with the air con. The dial on the washing machine was very glitchy and it was very difficult to select a setting but got there in the end. There is no bin in the kitchen so if you cook anything you have to use the bin in the bedroom and you don’t get extra bin bags - you only get the two new bin bags a week when they clean which is not really enough. I think it is mentioned somewhere on the website and at check in but the weekly clean they do is very limited, only cleaning the floors, sink and toilet. They don’t change bedding or towels so you need to bring/buy laundry pods and wash and dry these yourself, which is important to know about before hand. Finally, they only give you one toilet roll for your stay so you would need to get more if staying for longer. But overall it was an excellent stay, just some small areas for improvement!
The overall experience was okay, and I would recommend it to a friend. The location is good, the facilities are okay, and the overall cleanliness is good.
The one thing that bothered me the most was the noise from traffic during the night. Single-glazed windows don’t provide much sound insulation. The room was rather small, but for one month, it was manageable. The kitchenette could have more utensils.
