Where do I start.
This is now my second review as I was contacted from the owner to ask me to change my original and they would give me some money back. I then changed my review and of course the owner ignored me, so I am putting my original back up for everyone to see!
Hopefully no one else falls into the owners trap of changing anything, complete scam!
Firstly I received a call asking when I would arrive, 10 mins I said. I got there no answer from anyone when I called them back on 2 different numbers. Had to sit in the car for 30 mins - just aswell I had a car with me. Got in the apartment then some maintenance guy just walks in without even knocking! The toilet was very wobbly just about fell off! Toilet paper was ridiculously thin, take ur own! For 6 people to stay there there was 2 glasses to drink from! Then the deposit was a struggle to get back.
So all in all not a great experience - save ur money and don’t go!

The toilet rocks when sat on. This is unacceptable for the price we paid. Whilst modern appliances, fixtures and fittings, the installation seemed quite amateurish giving a delapidated feel to an otherwise recently refurbished property. There were holes in walls, floor trim cracked and wobbly floorboards under the laminated floor. The double room is barely double with the bed against the wall. Finally the Wi-Fi was patchy meaning we ended up consuming all our data allowance and more.

Hot water kept going off, no glasses and very little utensils or kitchen items

Receiving the information about how to get in the property … we were asked to complete a check-in form which included arrival time. Details weren’t received before arriving as the property and I had to call someone to get these sent. These was confusion over the payment and a requirement to take a deposit (after 11am in the day of arrival) but I was travelling so this wasn’t convenient. I’m still checking my account a to ensure not additional payments are taken. There was no hot water. The boiler was off because of low pressure in the system, we filled up the system and re-started the boiler but the hot water & heating system needs to be serviced as a matter of urgency.

Painful check in process. Deposit required before key release which is not clear at time of booking. Musty, and awful smell in kitchen. Dust in vents etc. Not had a deep clean in ages. Not pleasant at all for families

Hemos reservado para 6 personas, pero los platos y resto de enseres solo había para 3 personas. El sofá cama del salón es súper incómodo, sería recomendable que renueven el colchón.

I have travelled every corner of the world and slept everywhere, but little did I know that Newcastle would have made it into my list of “worst places I have slept in”.

Short version for those of you who don’t want to read the full story, full story below:

- very very dirty
- broken window, broken bathroom fan
- terrible experience, asked for a refund and only got it partially

We were trapped by the decent reviews and attractive price, but we wouldn’t recommend this apartment to our worst enemy.

Full story:

We arrived after a long 8-hour drive, tired and looking forward to a home-cooked meal, a hot shower, and an early night.

The kitchen we found for the so desired home-cooked meal had 3 forks, no glasses, no towels, no colander, no pans. It did have one pot whose bottom came off when we tried to use it. The second (and only) pot was so small it could maybe fit one child’s meal, for sure not 4 starving adults.
The owner was unresponsive and while 2 of us remained home trying the call them over and over, my friend and I went to the store to buy the bare minimum to cook. After we had already come back with a pan and a pot, and were almost done cooking, a lady arrived bringing 3 gruesome pots (this was already around 2 hours later, at 8.40 pm): one with an insect inside, one covered in oil, one stuck to the other from the dirt. I removed the insect, left all of the pots at the entrance and never touched them again.

After dinner, finally a shower: surprise, surprise there is no hot water. The heater had an error code and 0 pressure, we couldn’t fix it and the water was freezing cold.
My pregnant friend - tired from the endless day, sensitive to the additional stress and dirt - was already coughing from the dust and went straight to sleep fully clothed and disgusted. The rest of us changed without shower and went to bed, only to wake up bitten by mites.

Firstly I received a phone all asking when I would arrive - I said 10 mins. Then got there just aswel we had a car to sit in. No one would answer the phone to us, tried two numbers, eventually got in 30 mins later. Only for some maintenance guy just to walk in apartment without knocking! Toilet was very wobbly just about fell off! For 6 people to be staying there, there was 2 glasses! Toilet paper was that thin, it done a woman 3 times going to the toilet! Then the £150 deposit took pretty much a whole day to get put back into my account.
