Weather is hot but fan is not available and you can’t hang your jacket you have a wardrobe but not hangers no hair dryer 🙁🙁
Private, quiet, clean, and perfectly suited to our independent travel style. Staff was pleasant by and helpful. We had everything we needed for a comfy stay.
Superb Value Stay. A Walks Away from Cardiff Central. Pleasantly surprised. Would Stay Again.
Very good value for the length of stay. Around the corner from the local shop/eateries and short walk away to central Cardiff/train station. Our studio room was on the ground floor at the front-so had some noise in the morning from the seagulls! but also the local sunday church singing which we enjoyed! The studio room had what we needed-bed was a bit too hard. Had to initially clean the room as they’d had a few managerial issues. There was also the laundry room, pool table/entertainment and outdoor space. Staff were helpful with any extras like a kettle/ cutlery/iron etc.
Kitchenette has no cookware, Plates
Good for a basic stay only down side was no kettle.
Love it
👍
For student accommodation, the place is great, and it’s value is second to none. Likewise the staff were friendly and great to deal with. However, is a 20 minute walk to the city center, and isn’t in the greatest area. Giving it 5 stars as it’s better than expected and considering the price of hotels at the time due to the billy joel concert, a clean bed and ensuite for that price is incredible.
However if staying in the future when hotel prives aren’t through the roof, would stay elsewhere in cardiff
excellent place, highly recomment
This was a disappointing accommodation. Booked a self-catering studio room, which only to find no self-catering supplies were being provided. In discussion with on site staff, was told that due to the company opening more rooms for short stay this summer they were no longer providing self-catering supplies like plates, cutlery, cups, or pots/pans. This was not stated anywhere during the booking process, and would have changed our choice of accommodation if known. One positive was the on-site staff - they were kind and managed to find us a kettle and a few cups/plates etc, but beyond the staff being pleasant that is the only good thing about this spot.
Further, the unit bathroom had a drainage issue in the shower that after reporting to front desk was not resolved. There was also no available rental fans for the suffocatingly hot rooms, and no AC in the rooms just the building hallways.
The room on the third floor was unbearably hot and actually made me feel quite ill. Unpleasant smell of vinegar when you entered room. Hallways smelt musty. Do not recommend
Very good overall. Staff friendly and helpful.
Room is not clean. Floor is so dirty that could not walk barefoot. Shower not functioning properly, hot water stacked. Bathroom not properly ventilated.
Staff very polite and friendly
Property itself was nice, clean and great facilities. Would have loved my uni galls to be as nice as they were. We were in the ground floor and there was a noticeable smell of drains when we arrived. Area the property is in is very dirty. Litter everywhere! And just seemed grotty.
The property needed more cleaning
Fridge leaking water
Floor dirty
Window super dirty
Kind staff
This is student accommodation - so that needs to be taken into account. It was also cheap - which is great!!
If you accept that it's a student hall - albeit new and tidy/ clean and basic, then it's great. I was down to watch the rugby and it was perfect for that.
The area isn't terrible, but it is a student area, so a bit noisy on a Saturday night at 2:30am.
Big downside is no parking on site. Having said that, you can park within a few minutes walk. And it's really convenient for the city centre, and an easy walk.
Overall - great value for money, good towels, clean, free pool and a vending machine on site. My room had a fridge, micro/convection oven/ sink etc - as it's self catering student accommodation.
Would I go again - yes.
Brilliant
