We received the best service from Wendy, the pool supervisor! He’s very attentive, personable, and friendly! He will accommodate all your requests with a smile!
This hotel is beautiful but the stay was chaotic and the staff were very uneven. We recognize that we stayed during the busiest week of the year, but we were disappointed by this hotel experience. We raised our concerns with the staff during our visit (5+ times).
A lot of the promised amenities did not pan out. We booked this through American Express and the hotel did not honor the free breakfast. You get $60 a day for the room but the buffet at the BH restaurant is $90 for 2 people. The free mini bar has a maximum stay but it wasn’t restocked and we were only able to get one - a single beer over 5 days and 2 rooms.
The beach and pool were wonderful and we enjoyed our stay but we expect more from a luxury resort.
We had the best New Years Trip. The pool and cabana on the ocean are magical. Wendy was fantastic he made us feel so special and made sure we had whatever we needed from food, drinks ice whatever. We are planning our 2026 New Year trip and it will be here!
Had lunch at the Sand Bar as our last stop before leaving town. Delicious food! Myrtle helped us and was an absolute delight!
We ate at the salt shack best lobster and ambience. Then we had sushi at sugarfin with Mrytle and she was the best! Beautiful scenery and hospitality is amazing.
We have been waiting over an hour for towels at the beach and they don’t have anymore. Also, there are no more beach chairs so it would be great if they could get more of both.
Wendy and the team at the pool were fantastic. Super attentive and super helpful.

The team supporting Buoy House was excellent—responsive, friendly, and genuinely trying to make our stay enjoyable. Communication before and during the trip was smooth, and the team clearly cares about guest experience. The pool supervisor Wendy did all that he could to get us a seat by the pool when there were limitations, and Deborah always made sure you had any food or drinks that you needed.
That said, the property itself does not seem supported at full capacity. Certain aspects of the hotel felt under-resourced for the number of guests it can accommodate, which impacted overall comfort and functionality during our stay. With better infrastructure and property-level support, this could be a truly standout destination .
In short: great people, but the property needs more operational backing to match its potential.
We have had a wonderful time at The Buoy House! The property is stunning and has a great bungalow type of vibe. Everything is right at your fingertips.
Wendy, the Pool and Beach Supervisor was truly outstanding. He hustled the entire time - never stopping and made sure guests were taken care of. Such a great guy and great smile that greeted you every day!
Kaliah, bartender at Sugarfin, was also outstanding - she hustled making drinks for everyone - on the beach, at the restaurant. She was a such a delight and really took care of the guests as well!

Wendy the pool supervisor took great care of us after a booking issue with the cabanas. He made a disappointing situation much better with exception customer service.
