I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sundancer Residences and Villas Resort Sekotong .Not only was service excellent, the staff were friendly, pleasant and they exudes a very warm and genuine
Nature in all they do .The walk from the villas to the beach is stone throw away .I was thoroughly blessed and impressed by the garden dinner where staff display their their talents in a cultural dance and street fighting.Even guests were invited to join in the fin .Then there was a lovely beach BBQ with nice food s and was amazed by the wonderful Fire Dance performance ( 2 of the 3 performers from the resort ) .I enjoyed the tranquility the place provides & will be there away next year

Rooms are infested with rats. Hotel staff are unhelpful and sometimes downright rude. The hotel is very isolated and you are trapped eating their bland, expensive food. You can tell that it was once a nice place to stay but the new owner, an American, has left the property to rot. Don’t be fooled by the photos and reviews on this site, it is no longer a 4 star hotel. Save your money and go to a more exciting part of the island.

La struttura è molto bella, con una piscina eccellente e aree comuni ben tenute.
Accesso diretto alla spiaggia privata, attrezzata con lettini, molto gradevole.
Impressione generale positiva e soggiorno piacevole e rilassante.
Noi abbiamo preso un appartamento con cucina perché preferiamo cucinare ed essere autonomi con il cibo.
Su questo aspetto possono migliorare in termini di dotazioni in cucina e funzionamento.
Sicuramente la loro priorità è il ristorante ma se offri un appartamento con cucina poi deve essere pienamente efficiente e dotato del necessario.

Sundancer hotel is the worst hotel I have ever been in all my life. We spent there 5 nigths. Everything was terrible: 1) Staff unable to speak english and very unpolite; 2) We reserved and payed two rooms with 3 persons each but the asked extracharge for the additional beds. We had to fight a lot to have the additional bed without charging and the put a matress on the floor. Terrible!; 3) The toilet was very dirty, without enough towels and soaps for 3 occupancies; 4) Every day there was something missing: towels for the beach, water in the room, bathrobe, shower soaps; 5) We had a buffet dinner very expensive, but part of the food was finished when we arrived, unbeliveable!!!; 6) the hotel is very far from all the attractions. Location terrible, with no restaurants or shop for miles around; 7) at checkout we complained for the very poor service asking for discount for the dinner. They took the keys of our driver and we couldn't leave if we not pay the whole amount. At the end, after 1 hour of fithing and the risk of missing our fligth they made a ridicolous discount on the dinner and released the keys of the car. WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM SUNDANCER HOTEL!!!!

Hôtel très confortable, cadre très agréable et restauration de qualité.
En revanche, service médiocre, la plupart du personnel ne comprend pas l’anglais.
Attention, pas de Grab ou autre taxi acceptant de nous amener car trop éloigné de l’aéroport et de Kuta. Bien prévoir un chauffeur privé en amont.

Our whole stay was absolutely fantastic. Anyone questioning whether to make the journey ABSOLUTELY should!

Staff were the highlight - almost all local to the nearby village and relaxed, friendly and went above and beyond.

As a family we travel a lot and this was definitely one of the best hotels we've visited. Off the beaten track, safe, authentic and geniune.

La première impression ne fut pas terrible puisque l’accueil par le monsieur présent fut assez froid contrairement à tous les autres hôtels que nous avons fréquentés sur Bali et ailleurs. L’hôtel est assez isolé de tout lieu touristique ce qui d’ailleurs, l’autorise de pratiquer des prix élevés sur les prestations (comparaisons faites avec d’autres prestations balinaises).Côté chambre, le coffre fort ne fonctionnait pas et après signalement, cela n’est pas apparu important. Le linge de chambre (draps et serviettes) n’était d’une propreté éclatante et nous n’avons pas eu de ménage pour la dernière nuit. En revanche, le personnel du restaurant est très agréable et serviable.

Communication difficile avec le personnel qui n’est pas des plus bienveillants ou respectueux. La propriétaire a dû intervenir pour que ses employés soient un peu polis, accueillants et professionnels. Je suis très déçue par l’accueil et mon séjour là-bas. Je ne reviendrai pas.

If you are looking for a place to relax and get away from the busyness this is your place. Great big pool, very nice beach club, very friendly staff and big room with tons of space. We used the spa for 2 90 minutes massages and it was great 😊.
A few thoughts for improvement; We had a beautiful large hot tub in our room but not enough water pressure to fill it up. It would have taken at least one hour to maybe fill it up ☹️. The prices for food and alcohol were on the expensive side compare to other places we stayed at. Especially since there aren’t any other options available nearby. The breakfast was included with very generous portions and 3 very inclusive options.
We definitely would recommend this place to go stay and relax 😎

La struttura è molto bella completa di comfort quali SPA escursioni e una buona cucina. La sconsiglierei se deve fare da base di appoggio per le Gili del nord, ci vorrebbero 2 ore di macchina per arrivare al porto di Sengiggi e poi il tempo del traghetto andata e ritorno. Però dal Sundancer di certo si possono visitare le Gili del sud meno turistiche ma bellissime ed incontaminate, e l’albergo offre la possibilità di prenotare l escursione tramite loro a prezzi accessibili e con gli skipper a disposizione tutto il giorno per andare di isola in isola, fare snorkeling ect ect

Se cercate relax struttura piacevole villino e camere spaziose e belle. Il servizio un po' lento ma siete in Indonesia... ma dovete spostarvi tutti o giorni sulle isole...Gili inesplorate

Fantastic place would highly recommend, huge pool and has a great beach area as well. Very friendly staff, we did a couple of the day trips by boat which was highly enjoyable. Very big rooms, everything was modern and the food menu was great

Quiet off the beaten path. Need to cross a minor road to access public beach. Only saving grace is receptionist officer Mr Dedi who is very dedicated to his work 👍👍👍👍👍

This is exactly what I want to feel like when I'm on holiday. Such a quiet and relaxing place, away from the loud, obnoxious tourists. The private beach right on the coast allowed us to take a boat out directly from the shore, without needing any other transport. The hotel thoughtfully prepared a lovely basket for our trip, making it feel like our own luxury boat tour. The untouched sea life was beautiful. We stumbled across this property because the infinity pool villa offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the sea, and it was perfect for our honeymoon.

I had an amazing stay at the resort! The rooms are incredibly spacious, complete with a kitchen, living area, and a patio. I was totally not expecting such a huge and luxurious space. The surrounding area of Sekotong is wonderful for snorkeling, and with the resort being right at the beach, everything was within comfort and convenience. Highly recommend!

This was a lovely place to stay at a great price. I stayed in one of the hill side villas with a private pool. The view was amazing. This place is not crowded…it was quiet with great staff. Shout out to Erpan, Bryan, Gede, Zull…they went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The snorkeling was fantastic… my boat guy was named Dustin and he and Erpan took me around. I am a single female and I felt completely safe. The owner also went out of his way to get me throat medicine when my allergies got to be a little too much. Food was delicious and priced well. All in all, highly highly recommend!

We booked this very last minute and got a ok price since it was the day of which was good.

The pool was nice and it was quite in the evening. However, the following morning while we were at breakfast they started setting up a event which was apparently a lunch party for a company. This was setup in the main pool area where guest were using the pool, and it was so loud that you barely hear yourself think. We asked them if we could to the beach and they showed us the way, we turned up and it was abondoned, there were a couple of sunbeds around the place, but no staff and looked like it hadn't been used in a while (the hotel looks like it's changed hands recently). To top it off you could still hear the karoke at the beach. Bearing in mind it was a Saturday in July... I don't think there were many people staying there which is maybe why they were having this event.
