I had an amazing stay at Sammy’s. The location is perfect - close to everything but still peaceful and comfortable. The staff were honestly the nicest people ever. The admins were super helpful, always available on WhatsApp, and handled every request quickly and smoothly. Everything we asked for was done right away. The place was very well maintained, and felt safe and welcoming from day one. You can really tell they care about the guests and the experience.
Would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The pool and staff were fantastic. Coming back to a well air-conditioned room after a walk to near by food outlets on a hot afternoon was great. The locals are friendly and helpful. The beach down the road is good for beginners and intermediate surfers, and a surfboard hire will cost about $10 aus for two hours. The food options within one km is exstensive, from $2:50 lunch from a street cart, to an 8 course meal at a Japanese restaurant for about $60 aus, usually lunch or dinner costs $ 7 - $ 15 aus / person. Expect to see a bit of rubbish about, and there is a lot of construction work going on. The owner and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We’ll be back

The hotel was extremely loud, making it impossible to rest. On top of that, we found ants under the mattress, a worm on the bed, and other insects in both beds. Staff admitted the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t move us, suggesting we find another hotel with reimbursement promised.
We had to book a much more expensive place at the last minute, and since then the owner and reception have ignored all messages and calls and did not reimburse us anything. Horrible hygiene, zero accountability, and unbearable noise. Avoid this place!

Beds were so comfortable, I didn't want to leave. Good location for Canggu, lot of good food and massage places nearby.
Rooms are cleaned/towels changed on request only - don't forget to ask!

We lived here for 14 days.
- The WiFi was SO bad and when we complained we were told we would get a refund, but in the end the owner would not give it to us.
- The power was off often
- The water was off
- There was a lot of noice from construction early morning
- very noisy in general - you could here EVERYTHING the people next door did.
- The owner wasn’t pleasant to be around.

The hotel is very well-designed and stylish. It is in a great location, within a few minutes of the surf beach, great restaurants, bars and shopping. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The staff are excellent. The common area and our rooms were kept spotless.
Good location, nice pool and friendly staff
The included breakfast wasn’t good, very plain and not as shown in the photos. On the first night I had a rat in my room. I actually woke up with it on my arm. I was able to change rooms and asked for a refund for that night since that is unacceptable for any accomodation but that was denied. I saw the rat exit the room between the gap of the door and the floor. I mentioned this to the manager that the gap needs to be rectified. I later overheard a conversation between the owner and the manager, with the owner saying that the incident was a one off and she isn’t going to address the gap, so there is the potential for this to happen again to someone else. I feel like this is really poor management, I’m sure she wouldn’t like a rat on herself. In the new room the bed sheets were dirty initially and needed to be changed. There were also little bugs/ants in the room constantly. It is clear they have a rodent issue as there was always rat poo on the stairs that lead to our room. Very disappointed and do not recommend.

Bit of construction noise across the laneway. I feel the stair landings should be one piece not two to make it a bit easier but minor detail. Did need to leave the aircon on full to cool the loft down which made the bottom level quite cold.
