L’accueil privilégié, l’attention et la gentillesse de nos hôtes Hilda et Olivier ainsi que du personnel du fare, le calme absolu du site et le confort de notre pavillon (merci bcp pour le surclassement inattendu). Délicieux repas maison sur notre terrasse privée et précieux conseils pour optimiser notre court séjour sur cette île de rêve.

We arrived late in the dark due to several plane delays. We were able to communicate these changes with managers. They were fast to communicate going up and beyond to help navigate our arrival. In addition, they spoke with our car rental group to let them know our situation. We did not have a chance to eat after being in airports over 7 hours. The managers provided us with snacks, fresh bread slices and fish salad and freshly cut mango! It was delicious and so appreciated. It had been a long day.

We spent two nights at Hilda and Olivier’s lovely B&B+ as a transition between Maupiti and Taha’a.

The bungalow is built and decorated with focus on quality, beauty, and locale. At every turn I saw patience, craftsmanship, and concern for the environment. The bungalows are made to last!

The interior is modern in design and amenities. The bedding is of high quality and very comfortable. Ceiling fan plus A/C plus mosquito screens in all windows plus shutters make adjusting to temperature changes easy. I especially noted the lovely cool-ish breeze off the mountains coming through during the night.

Are there mosquitos and ants? Of course there are, it’s the tropics. And we weren’t bothered at all.

Hilda is a star-quality chef, and the three-course dinners that Olivier delivers to the bungalow are a celebration for the eye and palate. The breakfast, also delivered to the bungalow, is plentiful and includes homemade jams and homegrown fruit. Good coffee, too.

I did swim in the salt water pool, and it is long enough for five strokes. While not enough for a workout, it’s lovely for cooling off.

Hilda and Olivier go out of their way to be helpful, professional, and friendly. Responses to my emails were prompt.

We would stay at Vare Vavae again and recommend it.

Staying in a small paradise with amazing bedding and very friendly property owners! Fantastic breakfast and dinner available as well.

The relatively new bungalow was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The large outside deck was a bonus. There were only four bungalows, which made it a small charming environment. The hostess Hilga was very friendly and ccommodating, and she made good suggestions on activities and restaurants. We ate two breakfasts while there on a 5-night stay in early October 2023. The bread, pastries, jams, fruit salad, tea and hot chocolate were delicious. Hilga gave us a special egg dish for one of the breakfasts.

Wow! Hilda and her husband are so kind and welcoming, and they make you feel like home. Right away we were asked what activities we had in mind and even though we hadn't made any reservations and everything was last minute Hilda managed to sort everything for us without worries! The location is brand new and super beautiful, the beds are comfy, the shower is amazing 😍 the large porch with table and very comfortable chairs is an ideal place to have one of the breakfasts or dinners they offer (we had dinner and it was so tasty!). The pool is new and the perfect temp, and there are nice lounge/sun chairs provided. Everything is very well taken care of and the property is right underneath a mountain....stunning views! The bungalow is also conveniently located 800m from the beach and they provide bikes for free which is perfect. Such a nice couple,and such a memorable stay. Accomadating and welcoming in every way, would definitely stay again!

An absolutely lovely place - peaceful and tranquil that’s for sure! Beautifully appointed bungalows - beds were super comfortable and everything was well appointed and very clean. The pool area was a welcome bonus.

The bungalows are brand new, very tasteful and comfortable. The staff and owners were very welcoming and helpful. They made reservations for us and helped getting phone numbers and information about tours. We enjoyed the pool and using the bikes.
