L’établissement est magnifique au cœur de Ubud, tout en étant complètement en autarcie dans la jungle, un petit coin de paradis
Très calme, très joli, on se sent complètement dépaysé un havre de paix que du bonheur
It was lovely and quiet but also very close to the town
I liked everything
Interesting location and great decor
Quite dated rooms, not the most comfortable bed
Skønt sted. Alt var godt.
Love that the rooms overlook the swimming pool and the rice fields, very tranquil area. Staff were very polite and helpful! The bed was very nicely done up with decorations when the staff learnt that we were celebrating our anniversary!
Had to walk from the Main Street to the cottage as there is only a walking path. A lot of insects kept flying into the room, there was a huge wasp hiding in the room when we first checked in, managed to get it out without getting stung.
This location is in the middle of a village and the view behind the hotel was the slums. The most traumatizing part of the experience was we had to walk 5 mins from the main road through a village to get to the hotel. It’s not accessible by car.
Staff were lovely and helpful. Pool is great. The access to the rice fields at the back of the property is really nice.
My only complaint, and it’s not a major thing, the shower was terrible. No water pressure and fluctuates between hot and cold

Amazing stay – we loved everything!
We stayed at Gynandha Ubud Cottage with our family. We rented a villa with two bedrooms, and we absolutely loved it. The view from the upstairs bedroom was stunning, especially in the morning – overlooking the rice fields! For the first time in my life, I saw crickets glowing at night – such a magical sight.
Every evening we happily spent time on the terrace, enjoying cold dry white wine that was restocked in the minibar daily. The pool was a good size for a family, and our child enjoyed swimming there.
Yes, the road leading to the property is narrow, but we had no problem getting there. I don’t understand why some people complain about the access path, calling it a narrow, smelly ditch. First of all, it’s impossible to build a proper driveway there. Secondly, in Asian countries it’s completely normal for a hotel or restaurant to be located away from the main road. Don’t listen to people who write nonsense about this narrow street – those people will always find something negative to say no matter what; it’s just their style!
Special thanks to the hotel staff – we felt very well taken care of, and every request was handled within minutes. The property is small, clean, and surrounded by lots of greenery, with a lovely shared pool.
Nothing
The ambience, the room was very big, the surroundings very peaceful and full of lush green. The design is very authentic Balinese. The breakfast was good too. You just fall in love with the place the moment you enter.
The fact that the hotel is 5min walk into an alley where no cars can get in. The pathway is very uneven and was very dark as there were wall lights which were faulty and which they did not bother to change. The hotel needs to take care of such things as it can be a hazard. There is no lift so if you are physically impaired make sure you are given a groundfloor room.
Room was excellent and staff were great
