Thank you so much for great stay!
Pros:

Lovely hostel, the hostel owners were very nice and helpful. The location is not central, but we had a car and there were great options for restaurants and convenient stores near the hostel.

Cons:

Everything was perfect

Great stay
Pros:

We had a wonderful time at Ryokan Seifuso. The room and facilities were comfy and clean. The Japanese breakfast was delicious (both the vegetarian option as well as the regular). The kids enjoyed the western style breakfast.
The host were very friendly and accommodating.

Superb
Pros:

The owners are lovely, they welcomed us warmly even though we checked in late due to the snow. The rooms are spacious and clean and the futons are very comfortable.

Exceptional
Pros:

Incredibly friendly and accomodating owners. Spotlessly clean. On-site parking was very useful for us. Japanese style tatami room was basic but had everything we needed.

Cons:

Location not central to Matsumoto if wanting to be in walking distance to main centre of town attractions. Bike, bus or car needed.
