The resort is beautiful and a good location. The breakfast is worth every penny, especially the omelet station. We enjoyed the spa and pool. The balcony provided a nice space for relaxation and waking up to gorgeous views. You have the mountains as a backdrop and the beautiful garden down below. I would love to stay again.
Our jacuzzi in the room had some metal/dirt when it ran. I love that the place is old but some things need updating.
The jerky attitude of the bartender on Wednesday August 12 in the Sky bar.
We love the antiques, the ghost stories, the pool, the uniqueness of it. The staff is all so nice and accommodating.
Wish there was more food option at the pool area. The food truck opened at 4 but didn’t have food. The Governors Ball probably needs a tv and barstools to make it more conducive to stay and drink…the 2 apps we tried were oh so good!
The property is beautiful! They take really good care of the facility from what I could tell and the back garden area is beautiful. I did like the Crescent Pass that was available.
You do see the fact that it’s an old facility and with that comes without modern accommodations but it is a good place to stay.
Could not get our room below 755 degrees
Everything was excellent!
I liked how historic and interesting the experience was at the hotel.
Honestly nothing comes to mind. Everything was great.
Unique
I loved the historic ambience and the restaurant and bar.
Needed to up date the bathrooms better. Breakfast was understaffed
We were very unhappy with the breakfast. We had been so unhappy with the unlevel floor in the bathroom with the the broken shutter, tile and tile surround, and the awful lighting in the room. We talked ourselves into staying for the breakfast advertised. When we went to the restaurant, after we were seated and water and coffee served, we were told the menu items were not available and we only had a choice of factory produced pastry and a gross egg casserole. It was discusting. The nerve of charging what they did when I could get the same for free at a chain hotel nearby was incomprehensible. The property advertised that it had been restored to its formal glory. This restoration was not what I expected and I was never so disappointed in a hotel property. I will absolutely never return nor use this booking service again. I liked the speed of the shuttle service provided to us when we left property for dinner. The front desk staff were also very nice. The building, lighting, food, and pricing were the worst I have ever encountered. The proprietor gets a failing grade!
See statement above.
We went to celebrate my daughter's 44th birthday. Our room was on of the haunted ones so she was excited. All the staff were very professional and respectful to us through our stay we enjoyed some of the daily activities and of course the ghost tours were the best to learn the history of the hotel.
No door on our closet just a sheet curtain. Was not a fan of since I have to sleep with closet door shut. Lol And not having hot water in the early morning it was lukewarm at the most, but in the evenings we had major hot water. Was just disappointed not to be able to shower or bath in a nice hot tub.
The ghost tour was pretty neat.
Pretty much everything else. The amount of money I spent versus the comfort, level, cleanliness, amenities, etc. way overpriced. Understaffed restaurant. Room was nasty and smelly and gross. Most uncomfortable bed I've ever been on
It was in a beautiful spot , and the hotel was great.
I wished they had microwaves in the rooms. I know it is an old building and it is probably a safety hazard, but we could heat up our leftovers from the restaurant.
I like that they took something historic and made it fun to visit. They have a daily agenda for their guests, everything runs like a clock there, they are very accommodating.
Loud air conditioner, you can hear people above and in the hallways, lots of movement in the hotel due to constant activities.
The room was beautiful.
The room was way too small. No table to eat at. It was hot in my room, had to ask for a fan. View of outside was blocked from both windows. The ghost tour was a waste of my money. I bowed out early during the tour. Also I didn’t like being taxed twice for my room. I mean that’s how they get you. We were charged a resort fee and didn’t do anything. I went to get breakfast & was charged almost $5 for one egg and $5 for one piece of toast. Then the system wasn’t working correctly so I had to cancel my order. It wouldn’t take either of my debit cards.
