It was in a beautiful spot , and the hotel was great.
I wished they had microwaves in the rooms. I know it is an old building and it is probably a safety hazard, but we could heat up our leftovers from the restaurant.
I like that they took something historic and made it fun to visit. They have a daily agenda for their guests, everything runs like a clock there, they are very accommodating.
Loud air conditioner, you can hear people above and in the hallways, lots of movement in the hotel due to constant activities.
The room was beautiful.
The room was way too small. No table to eat at. It was hot in my room, had to ask for a fan. View of outside was blocked from both windows. The ghost tour was a waste of my money. I bowed out early during the tour. Also I didn’t like being taxed twice for my room. I mean that’s how they get you. We were charged a resort fee and didn’t do anything. I went to get breakfast & was charged almost $5 for one egg and $5 for one piece of toast. Then the system wasn’t working correctly so I had to cancel my order. It wouldn’t take either of my debit cards.
Beautiful hotel
Hard beds
The history and the notoriety of being haunted.
Getting to it!!! Driving the narrow curvy roads to get to it.
Loved the ghost
Nothing
The service. Always polite and helpful
Nothing
Scenery and architectural details of the past
Room wasn’t as clean as it should have been. The rooms and bathroom needs attention. Mattresses are in need of replacement. Carpet dirty feel to bare feet. Double beds are too much in a room.
Location
Cleaniness, moldy bathrooms, old and historic but no excuse for dirty moldy bathrooms, some staff very rude
Location, ambiance and Staff
The quality and selection of the Sunday Brunch was mediocre and the price gauging obvious for
This meal.
I loved all of the activities that were offered for free in the evening time. There is a slide and swings and a variety of games outside that we enjoyed. All of the staff were very kind.
The price seems very excessive for this hotel.
Beautiful historic hotel!
The room was great. I loved the original fireplace. The room was spacious too. The claw foot tub was functional too, which is such a unique feature. I also loved the brass keys instead of a key card.
Everything in the hotel is "a la carte" which adds up quickly. We spent more money than anticipated at the hotel. Perhaps there should be a package to include breakfast each morning, or something equivalent.
