The bar on the 4th floor was great. Great bartender.

Make sure you ask if the elevators are working.
Pros:

It was beautiful. The staff was friendly.

Cons:

The elevators were down and we were not told when we booked. It was tough on my husband and me with leg disabilities and we had to climb four flights with bags. We only stayed one night and left. It was not worth the money.

Horrible and over priced for what we were expecting vs what we received
Pros:

Vintage feel, Bell staff was excellent. LOVE the kitties especially Ozzy

Cons:

The midnight Ghost Tour was horrible and not worth paying for. The lack of a functioning elevator really ruined our entire weekend in Eureka. We were so sore from climbing stairs we dreaded going in or out for anything, it was miserable. Im elderly with bad knees and was placed on the 3rd floor. My granddaughter who is 23 was every bit as worn out as I was afyer a whole weekend of having to traverse the stairs. We likely will not be staying agsin nor will we recommend the property

Pros:

I liked how close it was to downtown! I liked the ghost tour; it was very insightful and informative.

Cons:

I wish the hot tub were a little bigger. Although, on my checkout day, I wanted to eat breakfast at the hotel, I went downstairs after I got all packed. Entered the restaurant and was seated by the host. When I sat down, I waited, and waited, and waited. I looked around to find somebody, but there was no one around, so I couldn't ask to be served. I was also confused about what to do. There was a buffet, but when I sat down, they gave me a menu, and again, there was no one around to ask. So, I got up and left to go eat breakfast somewhere else. I went to get the host, but she was gone as well. I don't know if it was because I went during the off-season, but that shouldn't be a reason to be an inattentive server. I also had an issue with getting service at the pizza place. It was basically the same issue, but I actually found someone to ask to take my order, which isn't a bad thing....But I shouldn't have to ask. As someone who works in the customer service world, I know that things happen, but I wish the service were better at the hotel. Everywhere else, the service was great! Even the sister hotel had better service than the Crescent.

It’s such a beautiful historical property I’ve been visiting here for 20+ years and it’s so sad the cleanliness and upke
Pros:

The property is beautiful and I’ve been so many times! I love the crescent and will be back!

Cons:

Unfortunately the hotel wasn’t the cleanest this visit with cups and trash laying around in the halls. The bed was cardboard or almost felt the a rock. Our shower was quite dirty and stained. Not to mention the dust all throughout the room.
