Managed by a private host
It was very clean
I thought it was a private apartment it had rooms inside ..who ever owns that have it very nice and clean and organized
It was a very comfortable stay.
The tv in the room didn’t work but I wasn’t there to watch tv so it didn’t really bother me
Property was fantastic!! The room was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable.
I am a 100% disabled Veteran and what I really enjoyed having was the Handicapped ♿️ Parking almost right outside the door. The hot shower in the bathroom (with 7 speeds) is also worth mentioning.
Be careful walking around (Yonkers, NY) late at night -- like any major city in America; don't let your guard down. Yonkers has some shady areas and sadly some are not too far from here.
The surrounding area was very pretty, set on top of a hill. The building was nice and maintained frequently. No complaints. The kitchen was well equipped. Bathrooms were clean and plenty of room. Rooms had heating and AC, both work well and windows can be opened. The landady was gracious enough to let me run a Ethernet cable out my window to the modem for really fast internet.
I will be as objective and reasonable as I can be. I never write reviews but since I stayed at this one place for 3 consecutive months and DID encounter events that I have gripes with, I have decided to be informative to the next long term resident.
Parking sucks, yes you'll find spots but not near the building and you have to time it early around 5. Or else you'll have to walk a ways. Monday/Thursday cleaning and Yonkers is more greedy than a leprechaun, 65$ as soon as it hits 1pm.
Major things: overnight residents had taken items from my drawers, marked per room, BUT I was compensated by the facility and it was just a minor inconvenience. Other times my things in my drawers were used, and it felt as no importance or ephasis was put in the rules to avoid that. Items from the fridge were thrown away but I understand as I had some overflow over to a separate shelf, but still sucked since the items were new. I had accidentally dropped by toothpaste on the bathroom floor, it was a day old and it was discarded the next morning. I asked about it and was told the cleaning crew throws away everything that is not attended to. I was given an explanation that the toothpaste has "bacteria" as the rationale for not placing it somewhere the owner can grab it. I suggested a lost and found box like under the sink for items but was disregarded and said that is not part of the policy.
Minor: I only have one load of clothes and I was being charged 10 dollars for 2 loads plus detergent/soap. I had asked if I can just pay 5$ and do one load as I had all the necessary detergents, but I was rejected and still has to pay 10$. I once asked if the heating in my room could be individually turned off as I was sweating, but the landady said the temperature was appropriate per "contract".
Takeaway: The landlady failed to show heart in the opportunities she had to show empathy and understanding.
Comfortable bed, portable fan, very responsive staff
Price was affordable
Parking was bad but it is Yonkers
Mattresses should be updated
All my needs were met:
1.Very clean!
2.The hostess was very responsive to my requests.
3. Kitchen is well stocked.
4. I would stay here again!
On the street parking is difficult late at night, but this is beyond the control of the owner.
Proximity to our event
Strong smell of cleaning fluids, too-soft bed, banging doors and conversations of other tenants who came in at two or 3 AM
The property is pleasant but I’m a bigger guy and the bed was too soft for me. That’s just a preference thing though.
Cleo was very nice and tried her best to make my stay comfortable
Location is not close to the city, but if you are looking for peace and comfort. It's a perfect place to stay. You need to walk a little bit to get to the closest bus station. With car its perfect.
There is nothing that I don't like, overall everything is good.
