Pros:

Compact, Japanese styled room with comfortable bedding and a private toilet. Public onsen for bathing. Located near Fukui station and backing onto the moat of the former castle (replaced by a modern building) It was a good overnight stopover point for a day at Fukui Dinosaur Museum, and on-ward travel via train.
