古くてもあたたかい
Pros:

建物自体は年月を感じさせる佇まいでしたが、大変清潔にされておりました。
御心遣いと朝の食事に心癒されました。

Cons:

少し建付けが悪く感じられる箇所がありましたが、さしたることではありませんでした。

Pros:

Was there during the summer. Great place to escape the heat, go for a hike etc. Great place to rest with traditional Japanese inn experience. Very hospitable hosts with amazing breakfast. If possible, I'd like to return here during other seasons (e.g., winter)

Amazing!!!
Pros:

Everything was amazing. The couple were so kind and the room and all facilities were very clean.
They were careful about the food, and because as one of us are vegan, they prepared a proper and rich meal.
There is also a really cozy onsen that you can enjoy only for yourself.
They also gave us an yukata.

We had a very relaxing time here! The room was lovely and the bed was sooo comfortable. The location is great and just gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend staying here.

The staff was amazingly friendly. Did not speak English but we communicate via translation apps.

Cons:

Only thing, the toilet was in an incredibly small room. Even for short people, 1.55, if felt tiny.

An enjoyable and memorable place to stay in beautiful Tenkawa
Pros:

First and foremost, the staff were absolutely wonderful, and went beyond what they needed to do to help us whenever we requested it. Things like lending us umbrellas after our check-out, taking our bags to the bus stop for later, bringing us drinks after hours when we asked, etc.

The room itself was also the largest ryokan room I've ever stayed in, and felt very authentic and comfortable. They had tatami mats on the ground and I would've preferred to see the real tatami underneath, but I understand why they want to preserve the space. The ryokan felt slightly older and was not in tip-top shape, but this made me feel comfortable, like I was staying in a home away from home.

It's located in a very ideal place, and is easy to access from everywhere in Tenkawa.

Cons:

The bathrooms were a bit small, and the bath itself was not the nicest. However, I felt this was counter-balanced by the fact that the bath facilities are private, so you can take turns with other guests and have the whole thing to yourself.
