Handy centrally located hotel in the Mashu area.
Pros:

Old but comfortable hotel in the Mashu area. We used it as a base for some walking in the area. The facilities were perfectly decent including an onsen which we enjoyed each afternoon after walking

Cons:

Our specific room smelled a bit like someone had boiled cabbage in the room

Pros:

這是一間非常有古早風味的飯店，從大廳、走道到房間都透著一種昭和時期的氛圍，房間是日式榻榻米，有許多櫥櫃，房內也有提供浴衣供住客穿著，飯店附設的溫泉就是一個大水泥池，燈光有點昏暗，一堵牆隔開男湯和女湯，但上方還是有些空隙，可以聽到對面的聲音，停車場位置算多，但晚上還是停滿滿，附近就有居酒屋，吃東西算方便，勤勞一點的話，開車5分鐘就有便利商店、知名拉麵店和超市及藥妝店。
房間環境乾淨，鋪床的床組也沒有異味，住宿體驗不錯。

Cons:

1.晚上10點要洗澡時發現熱水開到最大，但溫度也只是比常溫在熱一點點而已，只好轉移到樓下湯池那邊去洗澡，但隔天早上盥洗時水溫又有提高。
2.提供的枕頭有點太薄太低了，自己用衣物墊高了才好睡。

Pros:

Old style quirky Ryokan, was able to use onsen in hotel, clean, friendly, central location, lots of interesting old pictures and stuff around the hotel

Cons:

Unfortunately the cooking smell from the kitchen came up into the hallways and into some rooms. We had two rooms, one had very strong smell of cooking while the other smelt of smoking. The rooms are very spacious but with small windows so ventilation is not adequate.

Pros:

Hôtel japonais traditionnel situé dans un quartier calme, à 1 km environ de la gare. Izakayas à proximité et combini à distance de marche. Onsen non testé. Possibilité de location de vélos.
Merci à la personne de l’accueil et au gérant de l’hôtel qui m’ont fait savoir ( alors que j’étais sans voiture) qu’il y avait un « Eco-Passeport » - à durée limitée - ce qui m’a permis de voir en bus pour un prix modéré les lacs Mashu, Kussharo, le mont Io et la péninsule Wakoto.

Disappointing
Pros:

The location is convenient geographically to go around the Akan-Mashu national park.
The room was rather large. The onsen was open 24/7 and also rather spacious.

Cons:

Very run-down hotel. The area also is a bit sad with very few activities or restaurants, there are even abandoned hotels nearby.
There were no curtains so a lot of light early in the morning. The staff started cleaning corridor or other rooms extremely early making a lot of noise.
The onsen also is rather old, and the area for changing is very small.
