Pros:

The location is OK, very near to the shops, restaurants, and mosque. KICC is just 10 minutes walking.

Pros:

The staff were the best part of this hotel. They were SO helpful and responsive to all my questions and needs. The location was perfect, room was comfortable and clean. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great spot
Pros:

Great place to land for a visit to Nairobi. Staff are so kind, facilities are good, location is great. Felt very safe as a solo traveller.

Friendly and helpful staff!

Cons:

1.The phone in my room never worked, despite reporting it several times - room 807.
2. I had to call every morning for the hair dryer. Although staff brought it, I should have been able to keep it in my room all the time.
3. There was no file with information, such as about room service
4. The bedroom floors were dirty
5. There were too few clothing hangers in the cupboard.
6.The windows were dirty on the outside

An affordable place in central Nairobi with excellent staff.
Pros:

First stayed here over twenty years ago. As I needed to be central to CBD it was an obvious choice. The excellent, helpful staff make this hotel special. It is basic and functional but if you need a central Nairobi hotel at an affordable price this is still a super option.

Cons:

The breakfast on the second morning was fantastic but over the weekend when there were fewer guests it was rather basic, although I must say the staff were happy to prepare anything I personally wished for.

Excellent value for money, but the restaurant service could be much better
Pros:

The hotel offers really good value for money, especially in terms of cleanliness, provided that you do not expect luxury.

Cons:

Although the food in the restaurant is good and well prepared, the service could be much better. The staff are friendly, but on two occasions we waited for about 45 minutes before being served, and only after going into the kitchen to ask for assistance. We then waited another 45 minutes for the food. This does not match the overall standard of service at the hotel and could easily be addressed.

Just OK.
Pros:

The location was good: downtown, near cafes, ATMs, shops. The cleaning staff took good care of me. It was clean.

Cons:

The room was stuffy. No way to get airflow without opening the door. And if you did that a security guard would yell at you. Hot water in the shower took forever. But my big complaint was the restaurant and security staff. I got terrible service when I tried to eat in the restaurant and stopped going there. The security staff questioned me constantly! Where was I going? Why was I alone? When would I be back? What was I doing? This is not their business! I do NOT have to sign in and out, which was requested several times.

The entire downtown was locked down by the government one entire day, in anticipation of protests. The hotel did not say anything or warn guests about the situation.

The homeless and street vendors were relentless and I could barely walk down the street without someone asking for money every block. I didn’t go out at night and don’t recommend it. They do very loud street work at night, so don’t get a room that faces the main street or you’ll be awakened several times a night to loud banging.

WiFi is weak.

Nice mid range hotel. You get value for your money. We where there for a short stay.
Pros:

There was no hot water in the morning, probably because everyone was using it. So, you have to increase your boiler capacity. Everything else is ok

As advertised...
Pros:

Central location with restaursnts and markets in 5 min walking distance. Friendly staff, attentive and ready to help. Old but clean amenities. Set menu for breakfast is Ok.

Cons:

Traffic sound from street can be annoying for some.
