I can not recommend this hotel at all, which saddens me…
Pros:

The onsen, which is public and open to locals was really the highlight. However, there was no free drinking water available in the onsen as an old drinking tap had broken. In all the other onsen we had been to, they all had a free water cooler in the change rooms to ensure you stay hydrated.

Cons:

There are really two buildings, the main building which is nice and the Annex which is old with stains everywhere and broken floorboard. Unfortunately for us, we were put in the Annex and this still cost us nearly ¥88,000 for two nights. We were really disappointed with the location, value for money and staff interaction at this hotel. This was the worst hotel and experience we had on our 3 week trip to Japan. We stayed in hotels for between ¥15,000 to ¥18,000 that were in better condition.
