Central location on the Piazza Santa Maria Novella, 5 mins walk from the station.
Very comfortable and well equipped room, great view of the piazza. Hotel staff excellent and very welcoming and could not do enough to help - for example, booking tables in recommended restaurants. Superb!
Could be a bit noisy at night in the piazza but that is to be expected!

Location is great but that’s all that’s good.
Staff were “grumpy” to say the least. The size of the shower was ridiculously small. My 6’2” partner could not move to wash himself. We had to request the air conditioner to be turned on. The hairdryer didn’t work. The paint was peeling off the bed head. I have stayed here previously and it has not aged well at all.

1. Очень грубо общался персонал при выезде! Ни в одном месте я не сталкивалась с подобным!
2. Был номер с балконом, но на улице видимо выходили вытяжки с ресторана, ужасно воняло едой, что даже двери было не открыть.
3. Ужасная кровать, очень жесткая. А одеяло тяжелое, спать не комфортно.
4. В ванной текла душевая кабина, пол весь в лужах после душа.
La habitación tenía muchos detalles esperando. Cada día te obsequian con una botellita de agua. El desayuno estaba bien organizado y surtido. El personal fue muy amable y todos hablaban perfectamente el castellano. Está ubicado enfrente de la estación de trenes y de la iglesia de Santa María Novella y a unos 7 minutos andando del Duomo de Florencia. Te ofrecen guardarte la maleta. Yo llegué por la mañana y me guardaron la maleta y cuando volví al mediodía, tenía la maleta ya en mi habitación. Cuando me fui también me ofrecieron el servicio, pero no lo necesitaba. Tienen bar y un hall en la entrada muy amplios donde se puede descansar y tomar algo.
Por ponerle una pega el pequeño tramo de escaleras que hay para llegar de la calle a la recepción.

We arrived by car and this was the only slight complication, due to the excellent location of the hotel. However the staff were extremely helpful with directions and we were eventually able to park for a limited time outside of the hotel while the car was collected. It was not clear from the booking but parking is not at the hotel and it is a paid extra. This was explained clearly once the hotel was contacted prior to arrival. It was well worth paying for, 49Euro for 24 hours and E4/hour thereafter. Given the location the is well worthwhile. The hotel is right on the square in a great spot with restaurants right outside if wanted. The hotel is extremely smart inside and has a boutique feel about it. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The lobby is stylish as is the lounge area. The rooms are comfortable, a double a good size for a few nights and well equipped with all comforts. Breakfast was excellent with all that you could need and again the staff were perfect. In all for a few nights in Florence this is the perfect spot to stay and great value.
