It's an OK stay
Pros:

The room and kitchen is very clean. Everything is provided in order to cook. In the heat and due to neighbours blasting music, I asked for the quietest room and landlady obliged and swapped me over. Mattress is very comfortable. Room has TV with Netflix. Lock on the room is digital and kept playing up so I couldn't enter, but landlady did eventually sort it out.

Cons:

The room advertised there was ac, but when I arrived, there was no aircon anywhere. She mentioned if I get aircon and use it too much, she will charge extra. Also, the laundry use is limited and costs $10 per use regardless of whether you have your own detergent. The landlady prioritises her own laundry, and only after she has completed hers are you allowed to do yours, within the timeframe. I had booked it in advance, but had to change my plans according to her usage. She does micromanage you and watch you on the camera to the second, and will argue with you, especially about the laundry. I left my laundry in because I was doing an exam, and attended to it later. She started arguing with me that another tennant wanted to use it and I explained and apologised, but she kept repeating it. When I questioned the other tenants to say sorry to them directly, they said they didn't need it and don't know what she's on about. So, there's some lying and manipulation too. Best to use an outside launderette, which she would also prefer. Parking is a nuisance, you may or may not get a space, or you have to park on another street, which is a nightmare because the street is extremely steep. It's best for people without a car.
I had the room next to the kitchen, which got noisy when people use the kitchen outside of the hours, but landlady is on top of it and will advocate for you.

Had to share an apartment with other people. When we walked in There was a man walking around wearing
just a towel around his waist. My fiancé did not appreciate that at all.
We asked for a refund and they refused to give us a refund

I like the place with it's clean space.

It was an excellent stay! Period! Good job host.
Pros:

I like the cleanliness, the location and the security of being safe. I like the communication between the host that I had. Very quick responses. I like the organization for each individual room.

Cons:

I didn't like the parking but that has nothing to do with the host. That's a NYC issue.
