Cons:

Poor sound isolation, poor light isolation. The five of us barely got any sleep at all.

Comfortable and nicely designed apartment in a great location
Pros:

The location is great, easy to access without getting caught up in city traffic with parking available. The city centre is a short ride away on the train (a few minutes walk away) or probably buses too.
The apartment was lovely, very spacious and very well equipped. The "suspended" bedroom made great use of the space.
I appreciated the supply of tea / coffee and other supplies.
Check-in was easy, with comprehensive instructions supplied in advance.

Cons:

Nothing really- my only note would be that the suspended bedroom up in the roof got quite warm and it's not possible to open the windows. If a fan were supplied it would be a nice touch (there's even a space to hide it where a little desk is tucked away next to the top of the staircase!)

Awful
Pros:

ZERO

Cons:

1 STAR – A complete disaster from start to finish. BEWARE.

We booked this property for a concert at Murrayfield and arrived shortly after the official check-in time of 3pm. From the moment we arrived, everything went wrong.

The key provided did not work. We called immediately and were told someone would be contacted. After waiting with no update, we had to chase them again, only to be told we would receive a text – which never came.

Eventually, two staff members arrived and spent around 30 minutes trying various lockboxes and keys while we stood outside with all of our luggage, having already carried everything up the stairs. The reality was simple: they had provided a property we could not access because the lock was broken.

Their “solution” was unbelievable – either get ready for a major concert in a shed and leave our belongings there, or cancel the booking and accept a full refund. There was no alternative accommodation offered, no meaningful assistance, and no concern for the fact we had plans, dinner reservations at 5pm, and a concert to attend.

By this stage, it was almost 4pm. We were left with no choice but to find emergency accommodation ourselves at the last minute, costing us over £700 extra. We have all receipts to evidence this. Had we been travelling by plane or train, or had we not had access to those additional funds, we would have effectively been left stranded.

To add insult to injury, despite being promised a full refund, they have refunded approximately £50 less than the amount we paid, which is now being disputed.

The most shocking part of this experience was not that a lock failed – things can go wrong. It was the complete lack of preparation, communication, accountability, and customer care when it did. A company taking bookings should have a clear emergency process and alternative accommodation arrangements when guests cannot access the property they have paid for.

The stay was good
Pros:

The location was convenient. The property had two bathrooms, which was helpful for our group and the kitchen was well-equipped.

Cons:

We could hear noise from people walking above us. There was a £30 charge for early check-in. There were four adults and there was only one proper bed; the other sleeping arrangements were a sofa bed and a foldable sleeping mat.

Ok for a couple of days and smaller groups. , but not for large family or longer stays
Pros:

Large lounge/ kitchen woth TV etc. free parking and a few miles only from the city centre. Good linen. Suitable for 6 adults. Wooden floor, good central heating.

Cons:

Only one shower for 7 adults was not ideal nor practical. Third bedroom very small, probably fpr children not adults. This is a property that is best suittfpr 5 adults plus two kids (we booked for 7 adults as advertised). Poor lighting in the lounge...Some property maintenance needed (lounge door knob fell off, downstairs wash basin was blocked and kitchen worktop power cut out several times, windows not staying open). Just needs greater maintenance attention thats all - we managed ok but fussy'er people may not .

Charming country-themed apartment
Pros:

We came with a car so it was easy to reach, about 25 minutes from Edinburgh Waverley. The free parking was also good to have. A stylishly-furnished apartment with everything a family who cooks their own meals would need (thanks for the salt and cooking oil). It’s very clean and smells good, including the sheets and towels. Although a studio, it’s quite spacious because the bedroom is on a gallery. The creaking wooden floor gives it a castle-attic vibe. Points for improvement: Please make the bed when the booking is for 3 people. Would stay again when in Edinburgh.
