Don’t bother staying, just come for an hour to use the teacups
Pros:

We had a fabulous dinner at Fuji teppanyaki a short walk from the hotel! It was an intergenerational affair, no frills, super tasty, authentic local establishment. A highlight for my daughter and I on our trip.

Cons:

My daughter and I were in a room opposite the entrance to the men’s onsen which I didn’t think was appropriate. I booked the studio not a room, yet it was no different to any room we’d stayed in during our tour around Kyushu. The photos of the studio made it appear to be what was the seperate onsen with the teacups, whereas the pictures for the room didn’t include them. Very misleading! Unlike other onsen facilities which were available from early in the morning you cannot use the teacups until 10 am -for an extra charge. As we had been to a public onsen during the day it made no sense to pay extra that night so we just used the hotel onsen down the hall. We had to check out and delay our plans to use the teacups; were cute though.

Pros:

Room was big, toilet and bathroom were separated, location was good staff were nice.
You need to pay for the tea cup onsen too but it was a really good experience :)

Cons:

Little dusty, need to pay for tea cup onsen.
