The host at the homestay was welcoming and helpful

Cons:

My stay at a homestay in Hanoi was a complete nightmare, earning a disappointing 3 out of 10 rating. The place was disgustingly unclean, with moldy walls, broken facilities, and a misleading representation from their website. Moldy bedding, dirty floors, and a musty smell added to the dreadful experience.

Great Stay!
Pros:

Great location! Many supermarkets, shops, local restaurants and street foods around. Near the main street so it is easy to get a taxi (just be careful of traffic jam hours, especially to the airport). Quiet at night for a good sleep. The staff are very friendly, and supportive (no in-place reception desk, only via call or chat apps, e.g., Zalo, including check-in).
