Excellent location
Team were slow to respond and action. Bag drop off details not communicated. Room cleaned 3 hours after check in. Maintenance can be improved.
Excellent location. Efficient comfortable apartment. A good deal for this location and price.
Common areas not well maintained. The same litter would remain for multiple days. Junk was in the basement open area.
Location.
Shower pressure.
The sofa bed was unstable, and tipped over when rolling.
The table moved so much that things on the surface slide off.
The toilet seat was broken and unstable.
The shower door did not close making a mess.
The dishwasher door was broken.
There was dust on the appliances, furniture and inside the water jug.
The window blinds were broken.
The window stopper was broken, therefore we were unable to open any window during our stay, giving 0 ventilation!
After calling the provided number and messaging multiple times no answer was provided, only when messaging over Booking and yet no action was taken whatsoever.
Good location, close to Hyde park and 2 train stations. Nice cafes and restaurants around the corner.
Upon entry, the complex smelt like mould, the smell worsened as you enter the flat. It would have been good to know we were allocated the basement at time of booking as I would have looked elsewhere.
Unlocking the door to the flat, the floorboards have lifted, making it hard to open the door all the way. The first thing I noticed looking down the hallway were two giant gapes in the mattress. The door to the dishwasher was missing. I messaged management to inform them - they just replied with “we know”. With no intention of fixing it and later realising another guest raised this issue last year, it became clear they don’t care about guest experience.
The floors to the flat are absolutely filthy, the rug in the lounge is covered in stains. The fridge smelt horrific. Mould in the shower (shower door also doesn’t close properly and the shower head is unusable as it squirts water in every direction, over the door and walls). The only window in the flat has a view of piles of rubbish. Windows were left unlocked upon arrival, making it a breeze for anyone to walk into the flat and steal our belongings (also raised by another guest months ago and not actioned). The bed is small and basically springs thrown into a thin cotton covering. It should have been replaced years ago. Another indicator management does not care for guest experience. The listing states toiletries are provided, however there was no hand soap in the kitchen or bathroom, 2 tiny single use 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioners for 3 people staying for a week. 1 small bin bag provided with the expectation guests remove their rubbish (bin bags aren’t something we should have to purchase for the apartment - especially at this price). Dirty dishes left in the cupboards.
The flat is very dark and dingy with low ceilings. It doesn’t reflect the images in the listing. It is absolutely not worth the price they charge.
The complex is incredibly loud - it felt more like a hostel.
Location is good for museums and parks and great pubs round the corner
Property was dirty stains on the floor and rugs and even on bed sheets, back door was locked and there was no key to get out and it was filled with rubbish and paint pots, cooker and oven didn’t work and they didn’t help to fix it, there was a beeping alarm in the hallway going over all the time. TV was small and far away and the WiFi was crap
Location
Heating insufficient in cold weather
Rude owner, poor communication. Wouldn’t give the code to the door for our first night then refused to give a refund for that night.
location
Weak heating system and weak water pressure
Location
Unbeknownst to us at the time of booking, we were placed in the basement apartment. Only found out we were in basement a few days before arriving. Large windows in bathroom not allowing for privacy from balcony above. Despite complaining about noise from apartment above, with stomping, jumping and dragging of furniture into late hours of the night, noise persisted.
The location of the property is easily accessible by bus and underground stations. Nearby supermarkets and halal food options. The apartment itself is new and clean with the required facilities for cooking. Plenty of souvenier shops in the vicinty too.
The bathroom lock need to be fixed.
Location and the rooms
First day there was an heating problem and the flat was 13 degrees during whole night.
The apartment is infected by mold. Has a strong mouldy smell in the living room, it makes it impossible to sleep in there. Poorly cleaned. Signs of water damage around the apartment. The lock on the big window in the living room is broken, so anyone can open it from the outside. We stayed at flat no1.
Outside of the building, quiet neighbourhood, proximity to public transport and Hyde Park, quality of furniture and fittings. Also very smooth concise check-in process and description. This is the place to go if you want to experience the archetypal north/west-of-Hyde Park-London feeling of Victorian white houses.
As in all British buildings, so not a disqualifier for this specific location: plumbing. It always smells in old UK houses, which is a combination of damp, bad ventilation and bad plumbing. This house is no exception, but that is to be expected when you want to experience Victorian houses in and around Notting Hill. This was easily resolved by good ventilation, and one gets used to it after a day or so. Same for noise: you will hear your neighbours above you walk and talk (unless you are in the top apartment of course). Again, not at all a disqualifier for this apartment, you will have to live with this if you want to experience this part of London. Please note: We were in apartment 6 on the 3rd floor. I would expect the damp/smell issue to be slightly worse and more difficult to resolve with ventilation in the basement apartment(s) judging from the dampness at the entrance. Tip for the management: It may be a good idea to slightly re-adjust the lock on the front door. It does not "slot in" if you let the door close itself without additionally pushing or pulling it. The result is that in 90% of the time during our stay the front door was not locked and could be pushed open by anyone.
Location very good. All necessary places very close.
There was no soap to wash hands.
When I started to prepare breakfast, I had a bad surprise:
*there are pepper and salt shakers, but they are empty.
*there was no oil for frying.
The location is great and the apartment is nice and confortable.
The bed was "Fluffy"
